I met my Fiancé in 2015 when we were out with friends, from that very moment we were inseparable.
I could not believe how lucky I was to meet that man we all dream of, just like the romance movies and love stories. He was such a gentleman, he made me laugh until my stomach and the list could go on.
From the very beginning it was so simple and still is. We fall more and more Inlove each day passing. We are not only lovers but best friends too.
It all started on the 28th of December, the day I became his.
We were going for an early snack at one of the local restaurants on the beach in Jeffrey's Bay .
Jeffrey's Bay is my favourite place which I hold so dear to my heart.
My Fiancé then said to me he wants to go early and watch the sun set. As we were getting ready to leave he was carrying a bag and i was so Confused as to why that as necessary until he said to me he had a 'blanket ' for us to sit on.
As we walked to the beach, he found the highest sand dune for us to sit on. He put the blanket out and we sat there watching the sunset. After some time he started pulling out 12 red roses out of his bag and then he told me how much he loves me.
Jeffrey's Bay is known for its wind, and as the wind started, his shoe flew away, and I ran to get it, as I turned around my Fiancé was on his knee and he asked me to marry him. With so many nerves he was trying to keep his balance and trying to compose himself as the tears ran down my face. As if this was all he popped doit the bottle of champagne that was in his bag and we celebrated as the sun set and the ocean was infront of us.
Our family friend was there hiding in the bushes catching this special moment.
It was perfectly imperfect, with the wind, sand, the tears, the nervous everything made it so perfect.
The best part of it all, is he was supposed to propose the day after, as he had booked at the restaurant and told them he was going to propose, but he said he was so excited and nervous he couldn't wait any longer and proposed on the 28th of December.
Someone pinch me, I can't believe I'm marrying my best friend.
My Entire Day! From the moment I arrived at the venue to the following day when I left, was a memorable moment.
Especially due to COVID changing my date 4 times and finally being able to have my big fat Portuguese wedding.
A few moments that truelly captured my heart that i keep replaying in my mind, was the moment my father saw me in my dress and shared a few minutes together, to seeing my groom at the ulter, I can never forget his reaction the second he turned around to see me.
My entire day was very special, surrounded by alot of love, alot of emotional, alot of laughs and alot of romance.
This was easily felt from start to end of our fairytale wedding.
MALDIVES
I wanted to go for a very elegant, romantic look! For me personally , I love simplicity.
Hair- I had my hair down with soft curls. A few pieces were clipped back with beautiful diamonte and pearl clips, with my veil also fitting perfectly. This was done by Jessica Smith from June's Place Hair Studio
Make up- a soft subtle look, with a nude lip. My eyes were also done to stand out in order to make the eyes pop. This was done by Shannon Spies from Eyespies
Shoes- well I love anything sparkly , so my shoes definitely made a statement with the diamontes.
Dress- My dress was the only thing I did not do simple, I had to make a statement. It was the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. It was the Mara dress from Olivelli that there are only a few in SA. It was ivory with a touch of blush pink. The material had a slight sparkle at the bottom which gave it such a light beautiful shimmer.
Jewellery- Less is More, so I got my braclet and earings from American swiss

A facial as well as a pamper day getting my nails done
This was my favorite part. I absolutely love decor and flowers because it really sets the tone.
I was going for a very romantic and elegant look. With the colors of blush pink, rose gold and crisp white. The flowers were white with different shades of pink as well as greenery, surrounded and candles.
The whole venue was draped in white. Our main table was filled with flowers and candles and just behind the main table there was handing naked light bulbs to bring out the romantic feel. Our venue also had chandeliers which added to the look.
The lighting around the venue was very subtle and really highlighted the beauty of the flowers and decor.

The groomsmen wore black suits with grey ties for a more classic look.
The groom wore a black suite including a weist coat. With a black tie.
My bridesmaids looked oh so beautiful.
With a long blush pink dress and the top being in rose gold sequence.

Brendon from Bridge Church
The best in the business ofcourse.
I had the honour of having CHILLIPIX as my photographers and MOTION CRAFT FILMS as my videographer.
I could not have asked for anyone better.
With the photography, Eugene and Charlotte really had the most incredible energy with everyone who attended the wedding.Theu ate fun and outgoing which made everyone feel so comfortable infront of the camera. Their passion really shines. Always willing to help even if it's not related to photography, always laughing. . .they were more like guests at our big day than a couple working.
With our videographer, Andre from motion craft films was absolutely amazing. He made us feel so comfortable but his talent really shines because everyone was so natural and not so 'staged' . He is so friendly and amazing to work with.
We did not however we did have the venue's wedding coordinator TJ who is an absolute GEM which made sure everything ran smoothly on the day.

The food was prepared by the most amazing team at Oxbow Country Estate. Their food was mouth watering and something everyone still talks about to this day.
Our wedding cake was done by the talented Lorraine from La Moraine Cakes
Our stationary was done by Lily and Moon!
She really brought my ideas to life.
We wanted our reception to be fun and natural in the sense of no rehearsal.
We did not take dance lessons but rather practiced slow dancing in our living room to our favorite songs.
Our sound and lighting was done by the best DJ in the business. Robby from Bluemoon Productions.
The music and lighting is such an inport6part of the evening as its sets the tone and atmosphere. There was never a moment I was worried about the music. Robby created the most incredible vibe and everyone had so much fun. The music was amazing!
