There are many memorable moments from our special day! Two of my highlights:
1. My parents walking me down the aisle and seeing my husbands reaction.
2. A special dance we did with our grandmothers in honour of our grandfathers who have passed away.
I have to say, all of our wedding suppliers truly played a huge part in making our day perfect! From being a wedding planner and florist myself I had actually worked with most of them on many occasions before my wedding and so already had an amazing relationship with them.
We have plans to still travel internationally, however straight after we got married we did a local honeymoon in Hermanus and Cape Town. It was spectacular!
I have been told by a few people that my wedding look and dress reminded them of the late Grace Kelly. I would describe my wedding look as elegant. My dress made me feel like a queen! I truly had the best service providers in the business:

Our venue was like something out of a magazine! We got married at the beautiful Duck Point in Sasolburg. The setting was romantic, luxury. JP from Duck Point is the most professional, kind and generous person! He is a huge part of why our experience was nothing short of perfect!
All our guests stayed over, Duck Point provides exclusive accommodation to all guests.
I simply did my normal skin care routine. Nothing special was added to my regime before our big day.
I would describe our wedding decor, furniture and flowers as luxury, elegant, classy and timeless. My husband and I decided on a more masculine design/style/theme. Our colours were black, gold, emerald green and white. Our flowers included Phalonopsis orchids, Roses, Anthiriums, Tulips and Monsteria leaves. We had a floral hanging installation above our dance floor, a fresh flower wall, two floral arches and a main table doubled sided floral runner. All of our wedding furniture we brought in, we had black rectangular tables, black ghost chairs, black and gold cutlery, gold Underplates and gold candles.
It was simply beautiful!
The groom and groomsmen all got their suits and some of their accessories from the Oriental Plaza. My husband surprised his groomsmen on the day with watches for them to wear. My husband wore all black while his groomsmen wore emerald green suits to match my bridesmaids. They all looked so handsome!
My bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous! I had had their dresses designed and made. They wore elegant emerald green dresses with incredible lace detail and button up backs, made by a woman named Marilize, owner of Este Creations. Together her and OBD (Olive Branch Design) Bridal Shop created the most breathtakingly beautiful bridesmaid dresses I have ever seen!
Andrew from our Church- Bridge Church. Andrew is amazing! His service on our wedding day and his wise words is something we will remember until the end of our days, he is phenomenal!
The one and only Hanri Human captured our special day! She is so awesome and made us feel comfortable from day one. And I think our wedding photos speak for themselves. I am obsessed with her work!

My husband and I actually planned and designed our wedding ourselves, I have been in the wedding industry for a few years now and knew exactly what I wanted for our big day, however when it came to execution we had the BEST in the business Jade from Cachét Creative. Jade has been my friend for many years now and asking her to be involved with our flowers, decor and wedding coordination was the best and only decision for us! She is absolutely fantastic at what she does and is a friend for life!
Our AMAZING venue prepared our wedding food. Chef Shaun is the best! Our wedding food was absolutely delicious, from our food tasting, to the night before through to the morning after our wedding, everything was cooked to perfection! Simply DELICIOUS!
Our cake was made by an amazing lady named Bela, she and I also go back a few years when I was still studying, Bela made me a gorgeous cake for my final assignment and I have been using her services ever since!
Jolindi from Chrystalace - Jolindi took our ideas and knocked them out of the park! We had the most beautiful wedding stationery because of the amazing designer she is! She truly captured our ideas perfectly, every detail was thought of and included! When I say she is the best in the business I truly mean that!!!
My husbands sister is a dancer and so a few month before our wedding she started helping us prepare a dance. We practiced almost everyday leading up to our wedding.
Our DJ is someone who I have also worked with in the past at weddings. Francois from Events Engine is truly great, he really knows how to get a party started and how to keep everyone on the dance floor.
