Walking down the aisle looking at my soon to be husband, crying with excitement and happiness for its finally happening. That and having our close family and friends with us was just amazing. With Covid being so bad we do treasure every moment, tears of joy, and loving embrace of the ones we love.
Unfortunately with restrictions we could not go on our honeymoon but hopefully end of this year. Can't wait!
The look of our wedding was classy with a touch of country. Because our venue looked so perfect there wasn't much to add. We added our decor ( vintage lanterns , candles in glass vases) and flowers (roses, silver dollor leaves and desert roses) on the tables and around the venue. Up lights and a cloud effect for our first dance with dried ice ( Eugine from V&E entertainment ). Hair and makeup for me was an elegant up-do with classic bridal makeup and for my bridesmaids it was loose curls taken away from the face with soft makeup ( Salome from Pink Hotness Artistry). My wedding dress was simple vintage elegance hand made to suit my body perfectly. My wedding shoes were navy since our wedding had a touch of navy and it was my 'something blue'. my Wedding lingerie i bought from Bras & Things, they have the most gorgeous lace and silk gowns to match wedding lingerie. They have a new collection every year for all sizes and shapes. I did not have a lot of jewellery , i just wanted simple so i had my 'something new' made by Pearls and Diamond. Pearl and diamond earrings with a special touch of engraving my new initials 'NJ' on the back. Maybe one day i can give it to my daughter if we are blessed with children. My 'something old' i received from my mother (her first cross pendant necklace from when she was 21) and I will cherish it forever. The only accessories i had was a few pearls pins in my hair
Our wedding was held at the gorgeous Pont De Val venue in Parys FreeState. From the organising , to the staff , to the food , the venue, everything was just simply perfect. Everything ran smoothly thank you to the organisers at Pont De Val (Bridget & Carmen). My husband and I booked the honeymoon suite for the night of our wedding and wow was it perfect and gorgeous. 5 Stars all the way
My husband and I have always been fit and always tried eating healthy, but before the wedding we just ate even better and trained more. 6 small meals a day and trained 5 times a week. I love beauty and looking after my skin so i know how important that wedding glow is. A month before our wedding day i had my microneedling done on my face and neck with my dearest friend Loura (@l_aesthetics ), 2 days before our wedding i went back for my bikini and underarm laser, lashes, lipo laser on my legs and an amazing massage. I did my teeth whitening with Marelize ( M KILIAN DENTAL HYGIENIST) a view months before our wedding and it still looked perfect on the day.

My gorgeous husband had his (soft coffee colour )suit made by Designer Warehouse (pants, jacket , waistcoat), perfectly tailored to fit his body. All the extras, jewels and accessories on his suit was collected by him from various places and i just need to add he looked drop dead gorgeous! His groomsmen had navy pants, brown shoes and belt with personalised socks and navy suspenders.
My bridesmaids had navy boho looking dresses. Accessorised with brown waist belts and brown heels. Pinterest is your best friend for any ideas
Our marriage officer was Lorinda Klopper from Alberton. She was just great! So relaxed and delivered a beautiful message to us.
Jacolette Kriel ( Jacolette Kriel Photography ) was perfect , affordable and a great person to deal with. Our engagement shoot and wedding photos are just what we wanted and more. Her photography style captures every beautiful moment in a soft and captivating way. I would most definitely use her again
I have planned out our day step by step and on the day Carmen at Pont De Val helped in making my vision come to life and did an amazing job! It was the fairytale I had dreamed of....
Our venue, Pont De Val had their brilliant chef prepare canapés that the waiters served to all our guests enjoying the live music and beautiful river view. When everyone moved into the reception an amazing 3 course meal was served that was so delicious everyone had to have seconds. Lastly a dessert buffet was served with all types of flavors exploding in your mouth, definitely a winner.
Eugene from V&E Entertainment was our dj and did all our up lights and a cloud effects for our first dance with dried ice. We also had a live band for that country vibe music that Eugine organised and it was perfect! They truly made our wedding amazing.
