We are lucky enough to have been high school sweethearts who have been dating for the last 8 years and have known each other for 10 years. Throughout our time at university we have always made plans for our future together and on the 15th of December, what we have been dreaming of for the last 6 years came true. Our wedding day was truly a momentous occasion. It was meticulously planned and co-ordinated into one of the most perfect days of our lives. As bestfriends and now life partners, we created a vision for how our day was going to be, and man, was it a day to remember !!
The entire bridal party and our parents spent the night before the wedding at Vrede en Lust's accommodation. We spent the evening having a few drinks, bonding and spending some quality time together in preparation of our big day.
Our ceremony set-up and canapes were prepared to be hosted outside to enjoy the lush greenery and gardens of Vrede en Lust. There was however an 80% forecasted chance of rain. We were very worried that the chance of rain would dampen the celebration, but our parents told us to keep the faith that the weather would stay clear. Our faith and prayers paid off in the end as the day turned out beautifully without a hint of rain.
For our honeymoon, we decided to head to the Garden Route. Our trip started at the Caledon Spa for one day to catch up on sleep after the big day, we then headed to Soul on the heads in Knysna. At Soul on Heads we enjoyed a 2-night stay in a sea-facing room with a 180 degree view of the beautiful Knysna Heads. Whilst here we spent loads of time just bonding and enjoying the spectacular views. For dinner we drove out to Plettenberg Bay each night to try out restaurants such as Grand Africa Lookout Beach and The Fat Fish. Once our stay at the heads came to an end we moved over to the Protea Hotel on the Waterfront. Here we decided to spend a lot more time doing fun activities such as SUP Boarding, kayaking and even went on a yacht tour. Our last stop before heading back to Cape Town was Villa Marina guesthouse in Pringle Bay. Here we decided to get some rest while enjoying the beautiful mountainous and ocean views from our room window. This was truly a memory we will cherish as a couple forever.

We have always been a couple that does not stick to strict fitness/ beauty regimes. In preparation for the wedding the bride, along with the groom embarked on a 3 month fitness journey with BodyTec. This was the only fitness/beauty regime that has been conducted in preparation of the big day.
Our decor colour scheme was black, gold and different shades of pink. We went for a very elegant, romantic yet simple decor theme so the glass venue, hanging bulbs and candles were a very important element.

The reception and order of events was meticulously planned out by the wedding co-ordinator and the MC. Our reception started out with a choregraphed entrance by the bridal party followed by the bride and groom. This proved to be the highlight of the night by the reactions of the guests. All the dance moves were choreographed by the bride and groom who hosted regular dancing sessions with the bridal party leading up to the wedding. We wanted all our guests to have an enjoyable evening and thus limited the time allocated to speeches and formalities, and left more time for them to set the dance floor alight (which they did).
Sound and lighting was done excellently by: Hayden Isaacs and Twinzspin (Resident DJs at Goodhope FM)
