André and Andréa.. the similarities in both names will tell you that we are as cliché as it may sound as they say, meant to be! We have been together for 12 years. (Dating for 9 years and engaged for 3 years.) Even though Covid tried to delay the wedding, we just decided that now will be the perfect time. No more waiting for Covid to pass. I simply could not wait one more second.. I need this man to be my husband! When our eyes locked as I was walking down the aisle.. we both burst out in tears! Our moment finally arrived. He looked so handsome! And I was absolutely inlove with my dress. We had a beautiful ceremony at Russells on the Port, then we drank some champagne and drove to a very special place (in Velddrif) West Coast to take absolutely breathtaking photo's! Thereafter we had an awesome celebration and went out for dinner. The table was beautifully set with our weddingcake placed on a high stand near us.
My weddingdress was a beautiful long sleeve dress with amazing detail. My veil was a perfect length with beautiful engraving that was a nice fit to my sleeves on my dress. My Weddingdress is from Crystals and Creme. The detail on my dress made me feel like a queen and a princess at once!
My hair and make-up was done by my (now sister-in-law) Maritza van Staden. Absolutely the best! My jewelry was all Gold and it was jewels that I bought to fit my dress perfectly. Lace Lingerie ordered from Everything & Wedding. They are absolutely the best!
The ceremony was held in Velddrif, Port Owen at Russells on the Port. It is a beautiful scenery with yachts on the water. The bride and the other ladies (mother of the bride, mother of the groom and bridesmaids) stayed at Port Marina the night before the wedding. We had a wonderful experience and the most amazing view! The men had a braai the night before.(Also in Port Owen.) The venue was absolutely breathtaking! I would recommend Russells on the Port to anyone!
My hair was done by an amazing salon in Vredenburg. Spa treatments was done by my amazing sister-in-law the night before! A lot of pampering! She was the one that did my nails and also my hair and make-up! She is literally the best sister ever. Health and fitness was up to me, I was following a healthy diet and enjoying healthy meals.
Our Décor was done by Enver and his team from Russells on the Port. They did everything and the décor blew me away! Everything was beyond perfect! My flowers was done by one of my colleagues. She is an absolute gem! Wow. She has such a passion for flower decorating and also did it professionally. I was absolutely inlove with everything. My main décor-flower was the Protea.
The groom had cream coloured pants with green suspenders which complemented his white fancy button long-sleeve shirt. He had a green silk tie and his protea-wooden badge. Beautiful and classic pointed brown shoes which complemented his belt. He looked so handsome!
Pink floral was the colour to go! With a beautiful cut on the sleeves. Tight fit and long with a beautiful flower pattern. The pink, green and cream complemented the bouquets so well. The wooden badges was also ordered from Everything and Wedding.
Pastor Horn. Absolutely the BEST! He is a pastor at Velddrif church. He made us feel SO comfortable and he had us in tears with his beautiful words. We love his sense of humour! His prayer was so touching!
We did not have a photobooth, but we did have two amazing photographers. One photographer was a photographer that our Event organiser gave us as a present, the other photographer, Mrs. Elize is amazing. She knew exactly where you can find an amazing spot for the best photo's and she made us feel só comfortable! I really enjoyed how she also made the family part of the experience! It was mind -blowingly FUN FUN FUN! I would recommend her to anyone! Lastly we also had our family take photo's with their camera's.
We did not have a planner. I organized everything and I enjoyed every second of it! I knew exactly what I wanted.
I arrived with my Maid of Honour and my Mother. It was so special to have those 2 amazing ladies by my side minutes before seeing my groom! And... any bride wants a beautiful white car for her wedding! So it was perfect.
The company that made the weddingcake is owned by Tania's Creative Cakes. Absolutely wonderful, tasty and moist! Beautifully decorated! I loved the finer details on the cake. The cake topper was designed to our taste from Everything and Wedding.The food was prepared by Russells on the Port. FANTASTIC!
Everything and Wedding. They are amazing. Wow! They printed our vows on glass which is something we can cherish and keep forever. Every sash, slippers, badges, the veil, smoke bombs, suspenders and the most BEAUTIFUL ring keeper with our engraved names .. was absolutely made to our taste!
We did not take any dance lessons beforehand. After 12 years of being together.. you kind of just go with the flow and practice in the livingroom! :) My husband has amazing rythm, so he always takes the lead!
