I truly can say I have 3 memorable moments.....staring from the first time my Father saw me in my wedding gown. I remember how his little tear rolled down his cheek. The second is every women's dream of walking down the aisle to be with your husband. Morné always had a touch of making me feel calm. As the doors open I saw how he burst into tears as this was also the first time in 2 weeks that he saw me. We really tried to keep it special for our Big day. I remember how I kept smiling without a tear as I knew I just needed to be with him, to walk by his side in our future. The third moment we had a little surprise when we dance our first dance. Everything was so perfect, we were in tune of the music then my husband decided he wanted to make a small move at the end of the song..... surprisingly this has not worked out and he drop my softly on the floor making a tumble and quickly standing up to my rescue. We laughed so much about it, we just cherished the moment.
My husband kept the Honeymoon as a surprise to me. We went on a route from our Wedding Venue to Hazyview spending the night a Thulamela Lodge. We got reading the next morning for another night stay at Marloth Park from there the whole Honeymoon began. He took me for the first time over the boarder to Mozambique Ponta de Oura. We enjoyed ourselves there for about 4 days, next we travelled to Ballito our final destination for the few days we had left. I absolutely enjoyed the Honeymoon so much, I really which we can do this again soon.
I love the feeling of having a warm look. I wanted to have a winter wedding, but I needed to postponed to Nov 2021. I really was blessed that day by God as everything I wanted could happen on that day. My wedding dress was designed by Carike Nel Designs. I have a warm snowy Princess look, with Esthé Leather Co. shoe I loved wearing "the classic vellie" look as we also got married in a semi-bushveld enviroment. I had blue Tanzanite Jewellery that I wore and our rings was design by Hattingh Manufacturing Jewellers. My make up also shined with that warm strong look. My wedding colours was Emerald green, cherry brandy, brown, navy blue, and ice pink. I wanted to create a rustic warm comfy vibe.
Our Wedding Venue is situated at Lydenburg. @Boshoek Weddings which accommodates you with Glamping layouts and cabin layout. Most of our guest stayed over from Friday night till Sunday.
I have only been treated to a spa, a week before the wedding. I went to see a dietician and lost about 13kg's before the wedding.
@Boshoek weddings had these cement underplates with cement candle holders. The venue alone have branches with edison bulbs hanging from the top. The venue also had 3 fire places with the rustic look furniture. It felt so warm and comfy. My flowers Maliflora Wholesale & Florist has created the best atmosphere with the flower colours, Type of flowers were Cherry brandy roses, pink roses, white avalanche roses, Dahlias, Orgidees. I also used DIY branches from the farm which I sandblasted & sprayed clear lacquer. The lightning was candles and edison bulbs.
The groom's suit material was ordered from Benjamin Woollens. The material is tweed material which only can be found oversea. This material came from England. His Jacket and undercoat was made by Tweed Material. We sourced a Tailor in Middelburg called Mistry's Tailor. The groomsmen just wore a black jean with undercoat material also maid by Mistry's Tailor.
I always loved the colour green. When I saw "bruidsgids" with different colours you can use for bridesmaids dresses. I came upon emerald green. Since it is more popular for long dresses. I have decided that each bridesmaid can wear the same colour for long dresses but their own style for the top.
