What a Special day our Wedding Day was! Having a small and intimate wedding of 50 guests made it really special.
We surely did not realise that doing everything ourselves will take up a lot of our time and would be so much work, but with the help of family and friends everything came together perfectly and what a memorable day it was!
A big highlight was when my twin brother, gave me away on my Wedding Day. Sadly my dad passed away from a sudden heart attack back in 2015.
Rialdo lost his dad when he was 5 years old, however his mom did remarry, but sadly Oom Frik passed away in January this year. It was a bit of an emotional day at times, but still a very special day in it's own way. We had a memory stand that read: Because someone we Love is in Heaven there’s a little bit of Heaven at our Wedding today, with a candle for each of our 3 dads.
The biggest highlight of the day was before the service Rialdo and I got to read our love letters to each other and pray together (yes without him seeing me) and that I got to finally walk down the aisle after all the excitement of being engaged for over a year and to see Rialdo waiting for me and we finally became Husband and Wife.
Our Church Service in the forest was very special and our Pastor had the most special Sermon for us and our Guests.
Our Wedding Verse: Your marriage is powerful in the Lord because two are better than one. You can lift each other up when one feels weak - Ecclesiastes 4:10 is something we will always look back on in our marriage, as it has a lot of meaning behind it. Having written our own Vows made our day even more special.
The songs we chose for the Service were also very special and all had their own meaning behind it. As I am German and Rialdo is Afrikaans, we had 1 German song, 1 English Song and 1 Afrikaans Song. The German Song was my dad's favorite Song and the Afrikaans song was Rialdo's dad's favorite song.
My most memorable moment for me was when I asked my 3 brothers to please do the honor of doing a Brothers Sister dance with me, as I will not be able to do a Father Daughter dance, and without a doubt they all said yes. It was such a special moment and apparently there was not a dry eye between all the guests. I started the dance with my younger brother, then my middle brother and ended the dance with my oldest brother. I guess it didn't help that I chose the song Fathers & Daughters by Michael Bolton. It was a very special moment with each of my brothers and something I will always keep very close to my heart.
We went to explore the Transkei for 2 weeks.
Samantha Swart did my Nails, Makeup and Hair, as well as my moms and my Bridesmaids.
I hired my Wedding Dress from Whimsical Bridal. It was everything and more that I ever wanted in a Wedding Dress.
I ordered my Wedding Shoes on Shein.
I bought all my Jewelry from Lovisa.
Esperanza Wedding Venue, Pretoria
Marina was the most amazing and pleasant person to deal with at all times. The Rustic Farm Venue was really everything we looked for on our special day.
Some guests stayed over and Camped, the rest either stayed in B&B's close by or went home, as they stay close to the Venue.
I tried to stay as relaxed and calm as possible, as I knew everything had been planned to a T and I had faith that everything would come together on the day.
We set up most of the stuff the Friday before the Wedding.
As I am an active person, I would run, swim or cycle when I could. I tried to eat normally.
I just went to do my nails the Thursday before the Wedding. Unfortunately I could not still go for a Facial or Spa treatment.
We made most of the decor ourselves and had friends and family help us.
The Venue was so unique and already looked stunning with the fairly lights, it really did not need a lot of decor. I just added a few things here and there.
My Aunties, Ursula Wellmann, Waltraut Meyer and Edith Müller helped make all the flowers on the day. It all looked so beautiful!
The Groomsmen all wore Khaki pants from Edgars with a white long sleeve shirt and Navy Blue Suspenders from China Mall and a Navy/Mint Tie from Woolworths.
The Groom wore Navy Suit pants from Edgars with a Navy striped shirt from Old Khaki and Navy Suspenders from the Bloke Online Store and a Navy Tie from Edgars. His shoes he also got from Old Khaki.
I wanted my Bridesmaids to wear dresses they can wear again. And sticking to the colour scheme, we went with a Navy Floral dress from Truworths. They all looked stunning and it is a dress they can all wear again.
Our Marriage Officer was Pastor Colin Smith.
Our friend, Pastor Frank Schütte however did the Church Service on the day.
Hendrik Steytler took the most amazing natural photos on our Wedding day.
My husband and I do not like posing infront of Cameras, he really made us feel so comfortable infront of the Camera.
Hendrik really did capture the most amazing photos on our Wedding day and we could not have asked for a better photographer.
Our friend, Daleen Nel took Videos on our Special Day.
We had our own Photo Booth, with a big Selfie Frame and some Props for people to take their own Photos.

My Sister in Law, Marli Müller helped me plan our Wedding Day and helped coordinate everything on the day. I could not have asked anyone else to help plan this big day for us. Everything worked out perfectly and even better than we had planned it to be.
My twin brother, Brian Müller who is a Chef made all the Canapes for our Special day. This included Rooibok Carpaccio Bruchettas; Käsegriller Puff Pastry Parcels; Boerewors and Peppadew Skewers; and Cabanossi.
My brother built our Biltong and Drywors Wedding Cake, which was very special, as my Husband and I went hunting earlier in the year and both shot an Impala each that was used to make the Wedding Cake.
Oom Andre from Ouboet Spitbraai did the Sheep on the Spit, with Potatoes and Vegetables.
We had a delicious homemade Mustard Sauce to go with the Lamb Spit, which my mother in law, Rina Koen made.
We had 3 different cold Salads, namely Carrot Mould, 3in1 Pea Salad and Noodle Salad, which my cousin Elke Powell, my mom Linda Müller and sister in law Lize Meyer helped make.
We also had some delicious Home Made Bread, which my aunt, Barbara Wichmann made.
For Dessert we had Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce with Brownies, as well as a Vanilla Cake. Which my twin Brother, Brian Müller also all made.
My friend, Tamara Odendaal who is a Graphic Designer helped design our Save the Dates, Invites and Wedding Motif.
She also printed our big Selfie Frame, the Wedding favour stickers and Canvases that we wanted.
Other than that I designed and printed the Menu and the Booklets for the Church Service myself.
Just Bottles in Pretoria Printed the labels on the Water bottles.
We used Robert Stanton and Team from JamJar as our DJ's for our Wedding day. They provided the lighting, etc on the day.
Our friends, Daleen and Gerrie Nel helped give us some tips and advise for our 1st dance, which was very special!
