What made the day so so special was that my mother and I and all the people that care for me helped me designing my whole day. From décor, flowers, cakes and coordination.
So seeing it all come together, marrying the man of my dreams and having all our friends and family there made it the best day of our lives!
Because I work in hospitality we could only go to Cape Town for three nights. It was nice though as we were still floating on clouds.
My look was classic, cathedral, Spanish.
My dress was Robyn Roberts. It was bridal satin in white white white. A simple A-line fit with an overskirt and a mantilla veil.
My shoes were blue and a mixture between a boot and heel. Jeffrey Campbell.
My makeup was done by the amazing Andrea van den Houten.
We got married at our family-run wine farm and venue, Black Oystercatcher Wines.
Most of the guests stayed over and Glamped within walking distance from the venue.
I started with a burnt fit 8-week challenge 10 weeks before my wedding. Not only did it get me in shape but it gave me so much structure and peace of mind.
Also, I just tried to get healthy from the inside drank all my vitamins, water, and healthy food.
Looked after my skin with moisturizer and SPF.
The ceremony was set up in a Bohemian comfortable style with lounge pockets.
I had small forests of origami birds and butterflies in the venue. We also had antlers all around. A lot of greenery and flowers of all colors. I wanted a spring garden color scheme. My chairs were golden tiffany chairs with pink pearl cushions. My cutlery where gold. We also had some gold and copper vases and candlesticks as well as glass. With lots of naked bulbs and fairy lights inside and outside.
The groomsmen and my husband, the groom, were dressed in Country Road and knotted tie.
My girls were dressed in mango dresses. A light blue, light satin with a high neck.
Our photographer was Samantha Taljaardt @samblackphotography. Her husband was our videographer. They were the best and a very creative and inspiring team!
myself before the wedding. on the day Nikki Du Toit was the coordinator and did an excellent job!
Antoinette events prepared the food.
I did the wedding cakes.
We went for dance lessons, just basics.
We had DJ Anker as our DJ and he was amazing and played until late!
