The day before the weather was crazy, wind and rainfall, but on our special day, the dark clouds cleared and the sun came shining through and held up until the very second we entered the reception hall.
We had an outdoor ceremony, very intimate and emotional, all our guests were in tears as we said our "I do's".
There were so many moments which stood out for us as a couple, but for me, the most beautiful part of the day was hearing the man of my dreams read his written vows in front of our family and friends. And of course our first dance as husband and wife!
We kicked off the most amazing week by heading to a small cabin in the mountains, surrounded by nature, in a small town called Hogsback. We drank way too much red wine by the fireplace, were blown away by the friendly locals, glorious cuisine, hiking trails, waterfalls, horseback rides and all this beautiful town has to offer.
Our next stop, was the Oyster Box Luxury Suites in Kenton On Sea. Waking up to a view of the ocean, eating the best Pizza in the country (in my opinion), enjoying cocktails at Jerry's, shopping at local boutiques, taking long beach walks and of course being treated with breakfast in bed every morning were only some of the memorable moments Pieter and I cherish.
Last stop, Oceana Beach and Wildlife Reserve! Here we experienced next level luxury, impeccable and friendly service, romantic 3 course meals, game drives, picnics on the beach, unforgettable views and the most relaxing spa treatments.
Most certainly the best week of our lives. I fell in love with Pieter all over again during that week, and will remember oour experiences together forever and ever!
My veil was hand made by my mother. She sewed my great grandmothers pearls to each piece of lace stitched to the veil. My jewelry for the day included pieces which my husband bought for me at the early stages of our relationship. The earrings was my something borrowed, which belong to my best friend from the 4th grade and also my maid of honor on the day. My dress was a Viola Chan design, which I had altered to suit my shape. The shoes were from Forever New.
Hair and make up was done Blink Bridal & Beauty.
My engagement ring was designed by my husband and includes a diamond, which is a family heirloom. Pieter's wedding ring was made from a family heirloom from my great grandparents side.
Lily Grace was our service provider for décor, flowers and everything pretty on our special day.
They were given free reign, we simply provided a color palette and some inspiration pics, she did all the rest. We were blown away, everything was just perfect, they truly exceeded our expectations.
Roger Pierce, a pastor and our friend, was our marriage officer. Roger and his wife Nicola, have come a long way with us and have been our mentors, especially during the last few months leading up to the wedding. They have believed in us, advised us, invested in us and are just an inspiration to Pieter and myself. They set the healthiest and most beautiful example of what a successful marriage is.
I can say, without a doubt, we had the best photographers and videographer EVER!
They made the enitre day so much fun and brought their A game every minute of the day.
