It was just the most magical day!! Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of getting married in an enchanted forest! And that is exactly what we did!! The day started very misty, cold and raining non stop. About an hour before our ceremony, the skies cleared and this beautiful sunlight came out!! We got married inside the forest under the trees. This magical sunlight lit the ceremony just enough and the smell after the rain was something we will always remember.
Yes!! We traveled the Garden Route! We stayed in Herolds Bay and drove around each day to complete different activities and see different towns. My favorite activity was definitely the Elephants!
Everyone always tells me that I have an old soul. I love everything vintage!! My entire look was based around lace, roses, and pearls. I wanted to add something sentimental to my dress, so I added my gran's buttons from her wedding dress and my mom's pearls from her wedding dress. I hope to one day pass this on to my daughter so that she can continue this tradition of the generations. My jewellery, hair piece and shoes were pearls
We got married at Galagos Country Estate! It was the perfect venue for the look we were going for! The Forrest was so naturally beautiful, the reception hall was so rustic and perfect for our theme. The accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make our wedding day so special. We had a small wedding (50 guests) due to the lockdown restrictions, and we were, therefore, able to have all our guests stay at the venue and have breakfast with us the next morning to see us off on our honeymoon! I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

My flowers were supposed to be dusty pink roses. Our florist unfortunately let us down with this by using other flowers, but nonetheless, the rest of the decor and lighting was perfect! We wanted a very natural look. We used fairy lights in our reception hall which just enhanced our theme!
My husband wanted a tweed navy suit.. We looked for months for this but we couldn't find anything. We eventually got a dusty blue suit for him and his groomsmen which complimented my dusty pink bridesmaids dresses perfectly!
2 weeks before my wedding, my dressmaker messed up the bridemaids dresses and we were not able to use them. We eventually went to YDE to buy their dusty pink dresses and they came out so much better than what we originally were going for. They also had a very natural look to them.

Our photographer captured our wedding day perfectly. Her photo style is very rustic, once again following the theme we wanted.
Our videographers gave us all the raw footage and my husband is editing the video himself as he is a qualified videographer & video editor.

Our cake was made by Dainty Delights. The cake was delicious and everything we asked for. Our flavours were black forest and ferero rochhe.
