My most memorable moment was my husband and I exchanging vows on the wedding day. The love we feel for each other was so tangible in that moment, it brought me to tears. I will never forget the incredible words my husband vowed to me.
The highlight of my day was dancing the night away, one classic throwback after the other, with our loved ones and those most important to us.
My husband whisked me away to my dream destination, the Maldives, for 7 beautiful nights. It was unforgettable, from swimming with sea turtles, seeing tropical fish right under the doorstep of our water villa, admiring breathtaking sunsets to romantic dinners. We then stayed in Dubai for 5 amazing nights. What a vibrant and colourful city with countless sights to see and things to explore. What a dream.
I wore an elegant A-line dress with a pure white satin skirt and hand-embroidered floral lace detail designed and made by The Boys Couture.
My hair was done by Michelle from Crowning Glory. She did a beautiful half-up half-down style using plaits to hold a white pearly hair broche and my remaining hair in natural curls.
My make up and lashes were done by Felicia from Soma Care Beauty & Wellness. My make up had a natural and classic look to it, while accentuating my features.
My wedding shoes I found at Poetry; elegant white Maci sandal shoes with a small heel and point toes.
My earrings featured ivory pearls in 3 elegant teardrops from Lovisa.
We got married at the stunning Toadbury Hall wedding venue, a 5-star country hotel situated in Muldersdrift. What a lovely lake, beautiful green grass, water fountains and pine forest.
We stayed the night while our guests made their way home. There are many hotels and guest houses in the area.
Our incredible decor and flowers were done by Ruby Moon Decor. They made pretty bouquets for my bridesmaids and for myself using proteas, baby's breath and blush pink roses and greenery. They also made amazing centerpieces, a centerpiece for our main table as well as decorations for the chapel. Our theme was navy and blush pink which they brought to life beautifully, including navy blue napkins, silver base plates, blush pink roses, greenery and candles as decorations for the tables.
In addition, elegant white draping in the chapel and magical fairy lights in the reception hall were done by Marna from FF Decor.
I also sourced stunning table numbers and Welcome signs from a company called Criore.
My husband wore a dashing navy blue suit from Woolworths as well as a navy tie with white dots from Pringle.
The groomsmen wore smart brown shoes, navy pants from Woolworths, white shirts, blush pink bowties and suspenders.
My bridesmaids wore beautiful blush pink infinity dresses which I found at Young Designers Emporium (YDE)- they have an amazing bridesmaids range of dresses. I really loved how easy it was to customize the dresses to each one of my bridesmaids' unique personality and style by wrapping the straps of the infinity dresses in different ways.
I bought each one of my bridesmaids a special pair of earrings from Lovisa to wear on the wedding day.
Our photographer was Nicholas Huisman from Huisman Photography. What an amazing job he did- the photos he took of us were breathtaking! He is very talented, easygoing and funny; he made us feel really comfortable. We would highly recommend him.
Dominik Korb and Gregory Wright from Wild and Free Weddings were our videographers. They were awesome and fun to be around. They went above and beyond to create our wedding video. We would also highly recommend them.
For our first dance, we went for dance lessons at Five6Seven8 Dance Studio. Our dance instructor Andy was patient with us and worked at our pace to create a memorable first dance including the box rumba and waltz to the song "Crazy Love" by Michael Buble.
We had the time of our lives dancing the night away at the reception thanks to Perfect Tone Music, our DJ. He handled the lighting throughout the ceremony and reception and played amazing music, non-stop hits that got our guests on the dance floor.
