The most memorable moment for me was making a run for it from the car to the front door of the restaurant. It was a busy Saturday morning in Stellenbosch and everyone stopped and stared for a few seconds. Just wanted to get married!
We decided to take a two week road trip through our beautiful country. Our first stop was at Aquila Game reserve where we were spoiled with 5start treatment, safari's and hot summer days. After two days we took on the gravel road (because our GPS thought we were driving a 4x4) all the way to the Klein Karoo. In Oudshoorn we stayed at Le Petit Karoo in a cottage overlooking the beautiful valley. We felt like tourists doing all the activities Oudshoorn have to offer, visiting Cango Caves, petting cheetahs, hugging ostriches and feeding elephants. For the last week we drove through to Loxton. A small Karoo dorpie with a luxurious guest house, Karos. Here we spend our days by the pool, reading books, small day trips and just taking in every second of knowing we do not have to plan another wedding date due to Covid19.
Before the wedding I had a big lifestyle change. I had a image in mind and worked hard everyday to reach my goal, I lost 22kg before the wedding to fit into the dress of my dreams.
My uncle, Frankie Gerber was our marriage officer.
Christelle Rall was our photographer. She captured all the special moments and emotions at our wedding day.

Hussar grill prepared all our food. My cousin, Lucinda Grobler, made our wedding cake as our wedding present.
One of my bridesmaids, Natasha Hurly put her creativity to used and designed ALL FOUR wedding invitations. Must say we ran out of ideas to inform our guest that due to Covid our wedding will be moved AGAIN.

All though we could not have a big reception with our first dance, we had the most intimate reception at the restaurant sharing it with our closes friends and family. Jared Prior played live music in the background setting the ambiance, you could feel the love all around the room.
