After so much disappointment after having to postpone our wedding, and trying to re-arrange one 5 times, this day really was a dream come true!!
My most memorable moment is definitely the moment I saw my husband for the first time. Tears streaming down his face in pure joy to see me.
We are booked for a Greece holiday, but this had to be postponed as well due to Covid. Instead we had a small local getaway in the Western Cape. We travelled between Franschoek, Robertson and Hermanus.
I had the most beautiful, elegant wedding dress made by Sune Snyman. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I envisioned.
My hair and make-up was done by the talented Clarita Smit. I would almost describe the look as Marilyn Monroe.
We got married at Au d'Hex Estate in Wellington. The venue could accommodate 20 of our guests in 10 beautiful rooms for the weekend.
My vision was very earthy tones and minimal decor. The venue is a glass box with views over the most beautiful gardens and dam that I did not want do overdo the decor.
Flowers was done by Aartsappel.
Decor was done by Goeters.
Groom wore a black suit from Woolworths and the Groomsmen also wore black suits that was rented from Mr Suit Hire.
I just wanted formal black, and the rest was up to them. They decided on beautiful black jumpsuits.

Cilliers Visser Photography was our photographer as well as videographer. He works with is wife, Esmari, as a husband and wife team. They are the most amazing couple and made us feel so comfortable.
The venue has an inhouse chef that did most of the catering. We also made use of Marinda & Muriel Catering for the canapes and desert.
Due to Covid regulations and a 22h00 curfew still in place at the time of out wedding, we only had an hour to dance, but we definitely made good use of this time. Livewire was our dj for the evening.
