Our love story began in Paarl, back in 2010. JP moved to the town and Anika went to the same school where JP was starting in the third term.
On the first day they met in the corridors of the school and the story grew from there. With a long three years of friend-zone from Anika she finally gave in and gave JP a chance for that first date. From there the journey began...
6 years worth of memories later and we’ve made it a through a few muddy dates, renovated our dream business by hand and survived a cyclone on a french island. A few months ago JP finally popped the question, after months of secret planning with Anika's friends, at a wine farm with a picnic just outside of Franschhoek , and Anika said yes. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
A few months ago JP finally popped the question, after months of secret planning with all our good friends, at a wine farm with a picnic just outside of Franschhoek, I had no idea that he was going to propose that day. He made me think that it was a Wine tram tour he got for a very good price, and on the day he was very strangely nerves, and before we even left the house that day he was asking me for a back pack, knowing I have a big handbag he can put everything in. So long story short I was carrying the ring with me the whole day.. He told me we need to take photos and set up an camera on the one side of the area we sitting at and then as I turn around to be ready for the photo he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife, I jumped and giggled and started to cry, obviously I said YES !! and with an sneaky photographer capturing every moment.. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
