Memorable moments.... How can one simply choose one if a girl's biggest dream is coming true and everything went smoothly?
I must say, if I think back to our wedding day, there are 3 things that I immediately think of:
The moment I first saw my fiance in the front of the chapel;
Our first dance;
The father-daughter dance
These are the 3 things that I will NEVER forget.
Everything of our wedding day was a highlight and memorable, I cannot think of anything that we would do differently.
Yes, for our honeymoon, we decided to go to Bali.
We originally only booked 10 days for our honeymoon, however, due to the situation around the world, we ende up staying much longer than expected.
We had a wonderful time in Bali, even though we had to make the best of a bad situation.
My wedding dress was a button up trumpet style from The Bridal House. The veil was simple yet elegant and was full length.
I decided to have my hair in a up-style as I really did not want to struggle with hair getting in my face. We did light smokey eye and a light pink lip for my make-up. I'm not one for heavy and dark make-up so we decided this was the best look for me. My makeup was done by Shareen Holtzhausen Rossouw from 'The Glitterpot Make-Up Artistry'.
My shoes were a small wedge and plain white. They are called 'Zellies' and they are extremely comfortable.
The jewellery and accessories: I had the idea to make my earrings my 'something borrowed'. My sister, the maid of honor, borrowed me her earrings. She got them from Lovisa and they were light as a feather and very elegant.
The bracelet I was supposed to wear was going to be my 'something old' I got as a present from my then fiancé. He surprised me with a gift on the wedding day. It was a gorgeous heart and pearl bracelet. I decided to wear that instead of the old one he gave to me.

We had our wedding at My Castle @ Royal Jontica in Tierpoort. Some of our guests did stay the night and the venue makes provision for overnight guests. Some of the guests had rooms which were in the Castle (where the reception was) and there were other rooms next to the castle. We also had other venues near the wedding venue that assisted us with extra accommodation.
I didn't go on a diet or started eating healthy or anything like that. I went about with my day and eating habits as per usual and lucky for me I did not gain any weight. The only two things I really spent time and money on was for the whitening of my teeth and treatments to get a bit of thickness to my hair.
I made use of Nu Skin products. I used their AP-24 Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste to get that white shade back in my teeth. For my hair I used their Nutritiol Scalp & Hair shampoo together with the Nu Skin Renu Hair Mask. The results from using all these products were just amazing.
Our wedding colors were red, black and white.
The ceiling of the reception hall was covered in white linen and fairy lights. The tables had black tablecloths with red overlays. In the middel of each table there were candles and glass vases with water, flowers and candles. The chairs were also covered in black and every second chair had a red ribbon tied to it.
The bride and groom's table were covered in flowers and glass vases with water, flowers and candles. It was a brown table with two white chairs for me and my new husband.
The groom and best man both wore black suits from Eurosuit / Bride and Co with a black shirt and a red bow tie.
The ring bearer wore a white shirt and black pants with black suspenders and a red bow tie. We had him wear red sneakers to feel a bit more comfortable.
I only had a maid of honor and flower girl. The maid of honor wore a black two-piece outfit which we bought at The House of Superior Clothing.
The flower girl wore a black dress and a flowery red hair piece. Both these girls wore statement red shoes.
Our marriage officer was Past. JP Louw. Our ceremony was short and sweet.
Although we had a short ceremony, we had a beautiful message.
We decided to only have a photographer at our wedding and used 'Tomephotography'. Our photographers was Tomé and Tobi Taljaard.
They also did our engagement shoot and we were blown away.
It was a bit rainy on our wedding day but they made the experience enjoyable and we had a great time having them capture our special day.
They were with us for most of the afternoon / evening to capture our special moments.
They are both friendly and is always willing to assist.
We did have a planner that assisted a lot with our erdding plans. Our special day would not have been possible if it was not for Louise from My Castle @ Royal Jontica.
We did not have to make use of transport as everything was in one location. The accommodation, chapel and reception hall were all within walking distance from each other.
My husband and I mostly did all the stationery ourselves.
The only thing we had assistance with was our invitation which was done by Louise from My Castle @Royal Jontica.
We absolutely had to take dance lessons before the wedding. We couldn't have done this without our dance instructor Faron @ Beverley Hammond Dance School.
We had a DJ at the reception who supplied the sound and lighting amd he formed part of the services provided by our photographers Tomephotography.
