We booked a package to visit the Seychelles however, due to the upcoming Covid-19 lockdown at that time, our flights were cancelled. This did not stop us! So we took advantage of the beautiful venue and extended our stay at Fairmont Zimbali Coastal Resort Hotel, Balitto.

Wedding Dress - Vonvé Bridal Couture
It is designed by an Italian range named Millanova. The shape I chose was fit and flair. This meant the top appears seamless with only accents of Italian lace floating on strategic areas with a tight hip and then a kick out skirt. My veil was simple and 3 meters long to create that dramatic effect.

Our passion is to travel. One of our favourite destinations was Bali, Indonesia, and is the first overseas trip we went together. We loved the beautiful scenery, culture and the people. Bali was our inspiration for our wedding theme. We got married at the Fairmont Zimbali Coastal Resort based in Balitto, Durban. We had a few guests that stayed at the Hotel and Lodge. A true ambiance of an island themed setting.

am in the gym at least 4 times a week, I watched what I ate, and at least had 1 glass of gin a week (What is life without Gin!)

We really wanted a dramatic floral arch.
Decor & Furniture
We used large rectangle natural wood tables, that was dressed with crystal candelabras. We used glass designer under-plates with blush silk napkins tucked underneath, and rose gold cutlery. On top was a rose gold engraved mirror coffee coaster as our favour (We love coffee). I really wanted a King Louis styled chair for the main table. T-lighters and other decorative jars and bowls on the table were both cut glass in a clear finish or shades of rose gold.
Lighting
This to us was one of the most important parts of the décor. Directly above the bridal table we had a rectangle floral ceiling fixture which housed a small chandelier in the middle with 2 lanterns and 2 chandeliers on either side. In the second room, we had fairy lights being drapped in the room with a large chandelier hanging from the centre.
It was a fantastic ceremony & speech by Dr. Anthony van Tonder.

Our photographer was Amanda from Estilo. Amanda is such a sweetheart and really understood the "feel" that we were looking for in the photos.

Our videographer was one of our really good friends, Odette, that had a Gimeo. She shot our memories perfectly (and with so much love).
Photo-Booth - Aisle Hire It
We also had a photo-booth with customised prints for our guests. The background was a floral green wall with a neon light that stated "Better Together". Both elements were provided from Roxanne at Aisle Hire It.

I was fortunate to have one my sisters, Nicole, who owned an event business, as the event co-ordinator. Her knowing me so well managed to make my dreams a reality.
The food buffet was catered by Zimbali Coastal Resort.

I designed the key "MV" logo myself. All my stationary was printable templates I bought and downloaded from Etsy. They have great templates and it was so much fun to edit them!
