Misty woodland wedding
From the first halo we knew we were made for one another, we walked into anothers chaos and we never left.
29 February 2020 the meeting of two people in a forest, now that can only mean one thing, the start of a fairytale. Definitely no ordinary wedding. Expectations met reality that day, instead of a sunny day God decided to bless us with haze and rain. God made sure that we will remember our vow every time it's cold, rainy & hazey. Blessed beyond measures. There are so many happy memories of this day but there were only four that really stood out.
My first memorie- while I was pulling up my garter I looked up and the first thing I saw was the first man I've ever loved, my dad. He was standing across me smiling with so many happy tears in his eyes and on his face, as we were making our way towards the Chapel preparing for the walk we will both remember forever, we sipped on some whisky you know, just to calm the nerves.
This brings me to memory two, at the end of the passage stood this little handsome yet snazziest man ever, tearing up as we maker out way through the door. Two independent souls becoming one as our hands meet.
Memory three- Our friends are like mirrors and shadows, their mirrors never lie and there shadows never leave, there's a saying ": each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born". Anais Nin. I couldn't have put it any better. Last yet most important memory and this one must be our forest venue. Our relationship are like forests. Forests have so many life lessons to teach us, and if you listen closely you might here the still silence of nature and only then can one find true bliss. As a young married couple we can learn from trees through their wisdom, strength in the ability to bend and values from their roots- for when the roots are deep there are no reason to fear the wind and change from the leaves just like the growth of our marriage. We live the forest for all its mystery into infinity.
We are a massive forest full of beautiful vibrant stories. Now we can begin our own story as one soul.
We decided to road trip all the way to Cape Town.
