To the excitement of getting ready and wondering what is going through Francois mind. Giddy with excitement by popping the champagne with my girls, to getting dressed and sharing these special moments with my mother. Meeting my dad downstairs hearing the words I'll always be his little girl no matter what.
The stress finally hit me when realising I'm standing outside the Boskerk making the most important decision of my life, by marrying the man of my dreams. Everything was perfect.
Yes we went to the Drakensberg. As I am a flight attendant abroad,I really wanted to spend my time in our lovely country and what better place than the magical Drakensberg.
We spent the first few nights at the beautiful Little Switzerland and then from there we made our way to Bushman's Nek where we got to go horseback riding past the Lesotho border and taking in the breathtaking mountain and waterfall views.
The look I was going for was definitely a classic, whimsical, soft look with hints of rose gold.
For my hair I wanted a up style with a messy low bun and strands of curls framing my face for the whimsical element. I decided to wear a beautiful hair piece intertwined in my hair which was rose gold and with crystals.
Make up I was all about the rose gold as that colour really works well with my skin and my eyes. I wanted my eyes to be the focus point of my make up.
For my shoes I found them here in a store in Abu Dhabi, they were so classy and the perfect dancing shoes! Those were the qualities I was looking for as I absolutely love to dance the night away and what better way than to do it in style.
Jewellery: my husband bought me a beautiful rose gold tennis bracelet from Swarovski and my earrings I bought from Lovisa.
The best for last: My exquisite wedding dress that I found at Bridal Wardrobe. It matched everything I was looking for! Classic, Lace details, immaculate train and low back.

We got married at the most enchanting wedding venue Florence Guest Farm and our guests stayed the night at the venue as well as they have accommodation available at the venue.
I didn't do anything special. I am a fitness enthusiast so I kept up with a regular training program and kept a clean diet for a year so that I had a clear skin and a body that I was confident about.

The Groom and groomsmen wore dark navy blue suits. The groomsmen wore bow ties and the best man wore a leather tie to make him stand out and the groom wore a leather tie that was personalised and made by Theron & Theron Designs.
The Bridesmaid dresses were a soft dusty pink to add to the soft, elegant and whimsical look that we were aiming for.
