It was on a Saturday morning when I went to my husband's workplace to open a policy. He then helped me and after he asked me some personal details that he was filling on my form, he then called me after work.
Shivers ran down my spine when he called after work requesting that we meet, a request to which I declined citing reasons that I have someone in my life. He was persistent in ensuring that we meet, until when he told me that he has learned that I am always alone even when I go shopping. We slowly started getting used to each other and assuming a fatherly role to my two beautiful kids whereby the oldest was 10 years old and the youngest at the time was 6 years old. They jelledand we then started getting used to each other and seeing each other more often until when my family saw him while he was visiting me. Noting his love and maturity they supported our journey. Then he also introduced me to his family and I was warmly welcomed.
After a long wait for this request he just told me that he wanted to start the lobola process and I agreed. Then the first step was initiated where his parents came to introduce themselves to my family and got to fulfill all that was requested to finalize the lobola process but they also required of us to have a white wedding which to this end 16 years later it has not been fulfilled. The process started in 2006 and we then got married at Home Affairs in 2010. We just need to complete the whole process by celebrating our wedding in style and am confident that it shall come to pass
