12/12/2020 will definitely be one of the most memorable and amazing day of my life. When I woke up that Saturday morning the rain was pouring outside and I immediately knew that this day was ons we will never forget. We had our reception at a guesthouse where our canapés would be served on a wooden deck around a swimming pool as it was a summer day and supposed to be hot, but it turned out to be the opposite.
We had to make some plans for renting a tent and putting it up in the rain just so we could have the wedding as planned. It was a whirlwind of emotions but turned out to be perfect.
We struggled to get photos taken in the rain and family portraits wasn’t even taken, but in the end we had a very special day with an amazing party, food and people. And I got to marry the man of my dreams.
It was definitely a day to remember.
Yes we went to Maldives for our honeymoon. It was insane!! I would definitely recommend going there if you are considering a tropical holiday. We had the time of our lives.
I went for a very modern sleek look for my wedding. I had my wedding dress made by Stanley Baptiste in Bloemfontein and it was perfect! He really did an exquisite job. I bought my shoes as well as my bridesmaid’s shoes at Forever New.
Lucky for me my sister is a hairdresser with her own salon in Vanderbijlpark, Rockmantic. So she did my hair for the wedding, it was a modern low ponytail.
My makeup was done by Maryna at Niins in Bethlehem. I was extremely happy with how it was done! She did a dark brown smokey eye with a brown lip. She also did my nails.
My mother bought me a pandora bracelet which I whore on the day of my wedding. It was very special and I still wear it every day.
I felt like a princess that day!
Our wedding ceremony was held at Bethlehem-Wes Church in town, which is a beautiful church! We then went to a guesthouse in Bethlehem, The Perfect Corner, where most of our guests stayed over for the night.
I went to Niins the week before my wedding for my beauty treatments. My mother, my sister and me had a pedicure and manicure together. I also had a spray tan that day.
2 months before the wedding I went to my dentist just to get my teeth cleaned.
I followed a very strict diet since I got engaged in July so I can look great on my wedding day as I had to lose weight for my fitted dress. I lost 7 kg in 2 months!
