The most incredible moment on this day, was when I stood at the beginning of the aisle. Getting the bridesmaids in their places for the procession, everyone checking the veil, me holding onto my father's arm, looking up and waiting for the procession to start.
It was the moment that every feeling I have felt, every moment I have kept close throughout the journey and everything I have imagined it to be, came together and became a reality.
The procession started and I could not stop smiling, everything was perfect from then on throughout the rest of the day.
We were planning to honeymoon in Europe (where to exactly, I may not know yet...) but we rather postponed it to 2021.
In the meantime, we had a mini/pre-moon this year. We set off to The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay for a few days and took a much deserved post-wedding breather.
I could never find a picture of exactly what I wanted to wear on my Wedding Day. What I did know, was that it should be a reflection of my personality.
And so the journey began...
One day, I walked into The Wedding Boutique (which was highly recommend by a lot of people) and I saw a skirt on a mannequin.
The skirt had sealed the deal, but not the bodice. As we browsed through the boutique, my eye caught the bodice of another dress. Thank goodness it was the same designer - Alena Leena!
The designer customised the dress by combining the two pieces which was transformed into a masterpiece.
Without knowing I was going for a Vogue look, consequently hair and make-up had to follow. Michelle Evert did my hair and make-up - it was absolutely stunning. I adored every inch of it.
Our studios based in Cape Town and Johannesburg are fresh, vibrant and above all modern.
We got married in the Stellenbosch Moedergemeente. It is the most beautiful church. Our reception followed at The Cooperage venue situated on Anura Vineyards. A combination of concrete, wood and glass with a deck that stretches alongside a dam facing a breathtaking scenery.
Okasie did their magic once again and this time at our wedding.
I had a mood board that kept on changing and eventually, when the picture came together, they created perfection.
Our special day was captured by Christine Le Roux Photography and FJS Productions.
An absolutely amazing team, they were there in each moment with us, every step of the way.
The Wedding Gateway SA was more than what I could have ever imagined.
I had absolute peace of mind knowing that they were there with the coordination of the wedding.
We not only had delicious food but beautiful food.
From the canapés to the dessert, every detail that mattered to us, Kos Kouture achieved.
My aunt made the cake which was very special, she has always been the one in the family who makes the most amazing food and cakes on family events.
Kouki Graphic Design did our stationary. We loved everything about it, stationary was the last minute project that was the perfect added detail to the ceremony and the tables at the reception.
We had Hylton from DJ Dean SA as our DJ for the evening. There was not a single song where the dance floor wasn’t packed. He was great!
