What a year it was last year! My husband and I were initially supposed to get married in April last year, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic we had to reschedule it three times. We eventually got married on the 20th of November 2020 and the beautiful Inimitable Wedding Venue and we were so blessed to have all our family and friends with us.
Unfortunately we could not go on honeymoon, we are still waiting to go to Mauritius. But, we did have a lovely weekend getaway in the bush in our beautiful country.
My husband and I got married at the beautiful Inimitable Wedding Venue in Muldersdrift. Most of our guest slept over at the venue. They have more than 10 rooms on their property and the rest of our guest stayed at Cradle Valley which is right next to Inimitable.
This is quite an interesting question to answer as we were in lockdown leading up to the wedding and most of the places were closed. Only about 3 months before the wedding did everything start opening up again. For health and fitness, I was doing YouTube workouts at home and following a normal healthy eating plan. I use the most amazing skin products, PH Formula, which kept my skin all healthy and glowing throughout lockdown. Once everything started opening up, I went make to my beautician who specialises in PH Formula treatments.
The one and only Zavion, from Inimitable, did all my decor. He does the most amazing flower arrangements which suits exactly what you want. The venue was white, green and rose gold, with fairy lights hanging from the roof. Zavion and he’s amazing team did it all and they are absolutely amazing.
My husband wore a black and dark grey suit, and he’s groomsmen wore Ballack and white suites. What a handsome bunch they were. They all got their suits at Eurosuit and their shoes from Aldo.
My bridesmaids looked absolutely incredible!! They all got their dresses made at The Maiden, in Pretoria. I wanted something plain and flowing for the ladies and the all loved the design of the dresses. The color of their dresses was teal.
Our marriage officer was one of our Pastors at our Church, Jock Anderson, from The Barn Christian Fellowship.
These photographers of ours walked such a long journey with us. They did our engagement photo shoot in Cape Town and they flew all the to the lovely Gauteng to capture our wedding. Can you imagine how stressful that must of been through the Covid-19 Pandemic? Yet they were still there, capturing our special day after postponing it three times. They are the incredible, Expressions Photography, from Cape Town. Our videographer, Andre, from Motion Craft Films did such an amazing job. We were beyond great ik to have such amazing photographers and videographer.
Yes I did. Inimitable has their own wedding planner package which you can choose. Their service made everything stress free and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They did it all.
All our guests used their own transport to get to and from the venue.
I’m still speechless about the food!! Andrew, who is the chef at Inimitable made all our food. From canapés, drinks, to the 7 course meal. If you haven’t tried he’s food, I highly suggest you book a night and and Inimitable and experience their “Inimitable experience”. He is the absolute best! Our wedding cake was made by a close friend of mine, Kate Matthews.

My husband and I did do dance lessons, as well as my dad and I. It was the most incredible experience because the lady who gave us the dance lessons was my ballroom dancing teacher when I was younger.
