We were introduced to one another by a mutual friend at a social event. We spent the entire time chatting about life in general and we happened to enjoy each others company. We then later exchanged contacts and then the rest is history.
He was a typical Zulu man who just told me that he's ready to send his family to my home for lobola negotiation. After the lobola was paid, he took me out for brunch, little did I know he had planned to surprise me with a ring. While we were sitting waiting for our food he arranged with the head chef at Life Grande Cafe at Mall of Africa to pin my engagement ring onto my steak. So my food arrived with a ring hanging on a wooden stick and then he asked for my hand in marriage.
I loved everything about my wedding day and my highlight was the moment I stood right next to my husband at the chapel and he actually whispered to me “When do I get to open your veil cause you look gorgeous “ he actually asked the marriage officer if he can open it
Not really since we’re in the middle of the pandemic but we took a few days off to relax in the northern drakensberg Ana clarens areas
For my hair I decided o go natural by enhancing my natural hair with an afro bun. I wanted something unique, usually everyone expects the bride to rock up in a weave so I wanted to create a different look. Mobella beauty bar did my hair and makeup on the day

For my shoes, comfort is everything. I choose to go with call it sping heels

Some guests did stay overnight but others drove back as we had a traditional celebration next day
Health and fitness was a challenge. I gained 10kg of weight during level 5&4 lockdown. In September when the gym opened I started my own HIIT program combined with skipping and running 1day a week. I managed to shed all excess fat before my big day .
For my skin, I use to cleanse and moisturize. Twice a week I would scrub,steam and apply a facial mask

The groom had his suit custom made by suit tailors
Most looks were inspired by Pinterest and dresses were made by tailor in pmb. Maid of honor dress was made by Ntsike Dlamini and my flower girls dress by Pako Styles

We actually organized our own stationery and printed from jetliner.
We didn’t have time to attend any lessons. We actually spoke about what will happen on the day while lying down in bed and trying to create our song list and this was 2weeks before the wedding.
We then had a quick 1minute chat prior to entering the reception hall.
We had DJ banabas doing our sound and Imani events hire for our lighting
