My bridesmaids and I stayed at Maison Le Pur Sang in Durbanville. It was so incredible to spend quality time with the people you love. The guesthouse had spa facilities, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and an outside bar area. It is highly recommended.

The Father-Daughter dance was amazing. My dad and I spiced it up a little bit by using four songs. We ended with a Saturday night fever line dance.

My husband and I went on honeymoon for a week. We decided to do a road trip and spent a few nights at different eco cabins. We stayed at Krakeelpoort Herberg, Bluecrane and The Bay lodge in Mosselbay. What an experience it was. We will definitely do it again. Even try and support other eco cabins.
I had big Hollywood curls for our special day. I purchased a beautiful pin for my hair at Lovisa - which of course had some bling on it. I love glitter and sparkly things.
My MUAH was done by Corle Barnard. We decided on natural colours and a soft pink Mac lipstick. What an experience. She is so talented.
My shoes were from the brand Opari. It was rose gold and the heels were full of glitter. I later changed into blue heels from Woolworths.
I wore seamless undergarments. The dress had a built in bra. It was very practical and comfortable.
My mother made my earrings. She used Swarovski crystals and made the most beautiful dangling earrings that I fell completely in love with.

Since I was a young girl I was always fascinated with see through objects, ice sculptures, glass etc. So when got married at Bakenhof in Wellington our fairytale wedding came true. It literally feels like a glass house. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The view of the vineyards at sunset was so beautiful.

My sister created all my stationery for the wedding.
She designed the save the dates, created the video for the invitations and printed the menus.
She did much more than that. We appreciate her so much. She’s very talented.
I did ballroom for 2-3 years. So I choreographed our first dance. My dress was a type of mermaid style, so movement was limited. We opened up the dance floor approaching each other form opposite ends, did a few turns and drops and we were later joined by the bridal party. What a special moment to dance with your husband for the first time as a married couple.
The venue includes a DJ from the company Baha Entertainment. He made sure we had a good time dancing the night away. He was a very good DJ.
