In complete honesty, the entire day was one huge blessing.
My most precious moment was spending our love celebration with our family and friends.
And being blessed enough to have our moms and dad there♡
We did a Mini Moon
A long yet relaxing drive to Wilderness.
We stayed in a beautiful guest house.
Had the privilege to experience elephants, to walk with them and feed them. I actually cried. As the moment was very overwhelming.
We did some quad biking, hubby laughed out of his stomach as i drove into most of the trees. I had a blast.
We then went canoeinwg.... this was a story on its own. Do not do marital classes, lol just go and enjoy a debate on who goes left and who goes right. I ended up chilling taking several photos. And hubby had a good arm workout.
Firstly, I am a plain yet fun-filled soul. My dress was extremely plain, yet fun with a sneaky edge to it. It might not be wowee to others, but it blew me away and made me feel like thee most beautiful bride.
It was extremely comfortable, and hand made by one of my precious clients.
I did my own hair, being a hairdresser it really does help.
And another client of mine did my make up, she has talent overload and made the make up session soo special.
My gorgeous bottle green tussle earrings my husband bought me at Lovisa.
And my rose gold block heel from legit.
It was definitely the perfect combo for the perfect day.
soooo, planning a wedding during a world pandemic was no joke at all.
We continued to pray.
We lost our first venue.
And 2 months before our date, a generous young lady said that she wouldn't mind if we would like to have our wedding on her small holding in Durbanville.
We were the first to have our wedding on her small holding.
No one stayed over, but we had more fun than words could explain while still having a curfew
Any lady loves some pamper. I Unfortunately had a terrible middle ear infection 10 days before the wedding and being on antibiotic etc i couldn't really get to my normal skin routine.
But a good old home mask and fresh nails and eyebrows could brighten anyone's day.
My one bridesmaid blessed me with a beautiful full set of lashes and I felt like a princess.
Rustic , farm and garden games.
We thought to stick to what our family and friends know us for.
90% of our decor was handmade by us, and my precious mom and dad inlaw.
We had sooo much help with gathering the smaller details, like fairy lights, coffee pots and all the other beautiful wooden decor. Everything just worked perfectly together to make our day special.
Our special day was outside in beautiful nature, so we had minimal decorations and flowers.
My husband and father inlaw had their uniforms on. They are in the airforce.
So that image is my favorite imprinted in my heart.
The men looked handsome in their hired suits from Mr Suit Hire.
The break of bottle green ties was definitely a winner.
I had 3 in fitted bottle green dresses from YDE
And 2 in a beautiful yet subtle mint knee high dress from Edgar's
Then rounded off with a rose gold earing and a nude block heel from our favorite Mr Price.
All these girls have moved mountains to make my day extra special and they looked absolutely amazing.
Our awesome Pastor, Pastor Paul from Salem full gospel in Bothasig.
Honestly the best and most kind hearted man God could've blessed us with.
We were gifted a photographer by the men while they were getting done. Her name is Lynn, one Gem of a human.
And our wedding photographer Melissa from honeybee photography captured all our special and heartwarming moments.
She is the best, I know everyone says this. But she has a uniqueness to her that is beautiful.
YES♡
all our family and friends helped and prayed us threw this journey.
Everyone helped where they could.
No one specific.
Another blessing, one of my clients, her mom and boyfriend transported us and our bridal party the venue.
I went in my absolute dream car along with my moms. A Mercedes
My gorgeous bridesmaids drove in a Lexus van
And my husband in a Mercedes aswell.
We had platters as a variety of tasty fingersnacks definitely stole the crowd.
We had 2 young ladies one from Bothasig @Dominique and @Juliana that made the most delicious
Samosas
Chicken wraps
Chicken strips
Mince balls
Ribs
Salmon cream cheese
Droë Wors
Popcorn
Candy floss
Bottomless champagne
Absolutely everything u could think of.
With a donut and mini cupcake bar ended off with a take away cappuccino
My husband had some killer dance moves. If all else falls he has the most awesome dance moves.
So thank goodness we didn't have to attend dance lessons.
Our DJ on the other hand.
Hands down the best ever.
I was in pain for a week after the wedding of all the dancing , he is a guru in reading a crowd he is just soo humble and has talent of note.
Music to the max is the way to go
