For us it all started on a ordinary Friday afternoon whilst waiting at the library. That was the place to be and the place to hang. As i was leaving and saying goodbye to everyone (expect him)... he ever so cocky shouted, why don't i get a kiss goodbye! This might have happened because i gave his friend a kiss goodbye and not him oops LOL. Me the ever so brave person answered, well why don't you come and get it. From then on we have been high school sweethearts. Now after 13 years, 156 months, 4 680 days, 280 800 hours, 16 848 000 min and 10 1088 000 seconds we are finally deciding to tie the knot.
Oh this... let me tell you this would not have happened if i did not give him an ultimate and this before the new year. My words were in plain afrikaans "boetie jy moet nou besluit, ons trou of ek los jou". Looking back at this i might have been a bit hard on him, pour old soul, but a girls got to know, i mean after 10 years of being together you kind of expect this to happen. So the big day came... I was told to get my nails done and to me ready for a full day of spoils. The day started on a lovely yacht trip... there i had my suspicions. We had our camera with us and upon looking through this i saw a big banner with our favorite song lyrics written on this " i want to grow old with you". I thought that was really cute and so our day went on, eating sea food and enjoying our day. After our yacht trip we went for a stroll on the beach... i was very tired and a bit irritated after a long day of nothing (my hopes were crushed). He said he forgot something in the car and me being the difficult person when i am tired was very resistant and gave him a hard time. So we went on and ended up sitting on a bench, again there was a sign which read "MJ Forever" and then after the sign was turned over it read "will you marry me?" in big bright lights. I looked to my side and there he was, my one and only, kneeling in front of me holding the most beautiful peace of jewelry. Tiredness and irritation forgotten and now with a heart full of love and admiration i said yes! We continued to spend the night with friends and family. I felt like i was floating on air the entire night.
