The wedding look and theme was minimalist. Everything was kept simplistic. This is the perfect style we were looking for and also greatly helped cut the costs for decor etc. Our decor was hired from Hugo Party Hire."There is beauty in simplicity" was our moto. I had a stunning minimalist dress designed by Safanjacouture, that was so comfortable and even had pockets! The colour theme of olive green and white really highlighted the nature around us and capture the authenticity of the day. It was perfect.
We got married at Picardie Guest Farm in Paarl. This venue was perfect for us! It was everything I ever wanted, and what set it apart from other venues, was the sense of home that it created. The staff were amazing, they were so inviting and kind to us. We felt so welcome and comfortable.
We loved our photographer (candicejoyphotography- https://www.candicejoyphotography.co.za/) and videographer (Morgan O'Kennedy - https://www.instagram.com/okennedymorgan/). They captured the realness of the day, and the pictures and videos captured were raw and beautiful.
The reception was so much fun! We danced the night away. Heinri and I actually taught ourselves our first dance to Michael Buble "Everything". We had the best DJ from DeeJays Music (http://www.deejaysmusic.co.za/), who did such a great job and read the crowd so well.
