Our whole wedding day was so magical it would be hard to pick individual moments :)
My highlights were arriving at The Venue and seeing the whole vision of all the planning come together in the most exquisite view of the incredible colors and everyone all smart and dressed in their best for us this time.
Seeing my groom walk towards me so proud with his crew of his best est friends was so emotional, it actually sunk in at that moment that I would be marrying the man of my dreams and it was in fact MY WEDDING TODAY.
Being able to mash up all the cultures that are important to both sides with our Morrocan/Jewish experience was beyond beautiful and was so thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. A wonderful first time experience for many.
The biggest and most memorable moment of our wedding day was taking a moment to look around us and see how blessed we were to have the very special people that mattered the most to us there. We had both my husbands Grandmothers over 80 there and 8 of 10 of my fathers brothers and sisters come from overseas to share this magical moment. Many many generations in one room.
Yes we did. We went to the Maldives.
This was a once in a life time experience for both of us. We stayed at The Cacoon Island resort and were treated with
the warmest hospitality, incredible food and jaw dropping destination.
The honey moon was really what solidified our whole wedding experience post the stressful build up to the big day this was exactly what we needed, a true holiday.
every bride and group deserve a once in a life time honey moon.
The overall look was a classic, elegant but vintage vibe combined with hints of The Middle East.
My dress was purchased from The Bridal Wardrobe in Melrose Arch. They have such a great unique selection of dresses. My dress was altered to have vintage lace attached and removable sleeves.
My Morrocan attire was gifted to my from my family that purchased it directly from Morroco. It is said that a Morrocan bride should receive her dress from a family member to have the best luck.
My make up was done by the one and only Gina Myers. She is an absolute make up whiz and really got into my mind to give me a not over the top and just enough look. Her product were long lasting felt great!
My hair was done by Shakeela. I had a vision of Megan Markle with my crown and placement of my Veil and Shakeela effortlessly combined the two together with a elegant twist.
My crown was as close to a Megan Markle resemblance as possible and just like I expected t made me feel like a queen.
Shoes were purchased from Bride and Co in Rivonia and were the most comfortable shoes ever.
My ear rings and necklace were gifted to me from my Israeli family, also a blessing to receive these items to wear on your special day.

We got married at The Polo Room in Inanda Sandton at The Polo fields.
Having grown up always always loving horses and their majestic beauty I could not have asked for a better venue.
We were surrounded by green fields, a live polo game and the most incredible clouds in sky, so perfect. The venue itself was a beautiful canvas for where our dreams could come true.
Our guests did not stay over there how ever we made use of their rooms at The Lodge as a day facility and they were really decent and beautiful.
Our guests stayed at The Genesis Hotel and at family close by.
I always thought brides put an extra tremendous amount of pressure on themselves leading up to a wedding until it was my own.
I worked really hard with Terrance Marks from Planet Fitness to get into shape and feel good I did two Personal training sessions a week.
10 Weeks before the wedding I started a healthy eating regime, cutting out all unnecessary sugar, dairy and carbs. I felt lighter and less bloated instantly. Fitting in my dress was a big deal for me having lost over 100 kg this was my ultimate dream to be and feel like a magnificent bride.
I had a few dentist appointments with Dr Schneider and purchased a tooth whitening toothpaste that was INCREDIBLE. As mentioned above no extra added pressure right :)
My maid of honor and bridal crew spoiled me so much leading up to the wedding I had multiple treatments at Life Day Spa Fourways and Rosebank and a day away at The Mangwanani day spa. It was a real treat for me and loved every moment.
Every step of the way helped me feel so beautiful on the day.
My decor was influenced by two elements. Spring week and The middle east.
I chose a base of crisp white with an array of bright Orange, purple, cerise, maroon and green tuned into lots of gold and copper. Our flowers just popped out with those beautiful colors.
The venue was set up to portray a festival of lights with each starter station dressed up representing a different country in the world. We went from China to India, passed Italy and on the The Middle east.
The outside section was set up with crisp white furniture and stunning gold cocktail tables under trussing with floating globes.
The table decor gave you the feel that you were in Morroco. Lots of lanterns and candle light gave the table a magical glow with bright flowers and candelabras. Gold under plates and rich colors of napkins different on each table.
We had a white dance floor which really brought the venue to life.
We had a beautiful middle eastern round bar in the center of the venue that really added a beautiful touch.
For our speeches we had big screens which played a big role in remembering the wonderful people that could not share our beautiful day with us such as my mom.
The venue was lit up with floor lights that changed into red and orange tones and set the venue to a true romantic feel.
All the above lighting decor, flowers etc was provided by Natalie Bryan from precision events.
The groom and groomsmen cleaned up ever so smart in their gorgeous tuxedos. A black tuxedo with a white shirt and maroon bow tie, with the groom wearing a black shirt.
They hired their suits from Euro Suit in Rivonia and all accessories.
Bow ties and Yalmikas were made for them by Shalom Afrika.
With seven ladies the bridesmaids looked ever so beautiful in Maroon and gold. Inspired by the colors of Morocco and my love for maroon, the dresses were magnificent. Princesses in the palace if I might say so myself.
Each girl could choose any design or style they wanted it only had to include both materials maroon and gold. One bridesmaid had a pants suit which was so sassy and another had a fitted mermaid style dress with the top being gold sequence and the bottom a soft maroon material.
Another two were flowing gorgeous dresses with gold belts under the breast bone and also a top and skirt which was so different.
My maid of honor had a stunning fitted dress with a different gold material with netting at the top and a decent slit that showed off the stunning dress.
Wearing gold heels for the ceremony and retiring to personalized gold glittered Tomy Takkies it was a memorable night without sore feet.
Dresses were made by the most unbelievable dress maker Brigitta of Sunninghill.
Rabbi Adrien Schell was our marriage officer and he is such a wonderful man.
Christiaan David and his team was our chosen photographer and videographer for our day. He was highly recommended for his experience with Jewish weddings and his amazing work. Our photos were outstanding and his team were so professional.
I loved having a male photographer, he kept us smiling and laughing the whole time and would highly recommend him to everyone.
For me this was the most important service of all if nothing else went your way you still have your memories of your special day. I am so glad we chose him.
Yes we did. Natalie from Precision Events organised every element of our day from decor to music to entertainment and much more. Decor is particularly her special area.
She was pedantic and particular about ensuring we had everything we wanted. Her suppliers were on time and superb.
Natalie and her team executed a beautiful wedding and we wanted for nothing.
The girls were all transported in an old fashioned white Merc Limo and was very cute. Service provider details not available at this time.
The groomsmen suprized the groom with a purple Chevy Impala to drive him.
Both made spectacular photos.
Riva Flax from Catering by Riva made the most delicious food that everyone is still raving about.
We had a different set up to the normal wedding and everyone loved it. There were 7 starter stations outside that included India, Chinese, Japanese, Middle eastern, Pokie bowl and more. Every item was delicious.
Followed to the dinner which was plated options chosen from a menu that included Lamb chops, Chicken Kiev style stuffed breasts, Teriyaki salmon or seared fillet.
Our cake was done by Lisa Gilbert completley inspired by Morocco.
We had kosher restrictions which can be very limiting to which suppliers can make certain things. Our food was absolutely delicious!
The design was done by Bianca Kotzen who is now my sister in law. She is exceptionally talented and artistic and was the perfect person for the job.
Printing was handled by Natalie Bryan our wedding planner.
The reception was my favorite part! We definitely took dance lessons and had a lot of fun doing them. However my gall bladder burst just 6 days before the wedding and so we were not able to use all our moves we had planned so we improvised.
Ronen Bar was our Dj and handled having a mash up from all cultures and all music choices.
Sound and Lighting was provided by Natalie's teams and we had a wonderful exploding balloons experience on our first dance provided by Tanya from The Pop. On our first dance 5 balloons simultaneously popped letting little balloons float up. Paired together with a hazer that created a could it was a very magical few moments.
The entertainment was followed by a dress change into Morrocan Kaftans and attire fez hats. I had secretly taken belly Dancing classes and surprised my groom by getting up and joining the dancers in their show.
This was a really stunning experience for everyone who attended our wedding and certainly very different.
We definitely continued to dance the night away.
