My best memory from our wedding will be the moment the chapel doors opened and I saw the love of my life with eyes full of tears waiting for me to walk down the isle.
We also had a special daddy-daughter reveal which was so memorable. Seeing my dad crying while making jokes to ease the nerves made me want to cry even more.
We were lucky enough to have our honeymoon sponsored. We went to Villa Santorini in Vilanculos, Mozambique. It was a really magical experience. We were treated like royalty and the total experience was out of this world!
I wanted to have a modern yet natural look. I opted for soft purple eyes and soft lips. For my hair I wanted to be practical and opted for an updo to have my hair out of my face.
My dress was made by my mother, I am so proud of her and my dress. We had a few hick-ups during the process of dressmaking but it was all worth it in the end.
I ordered my shoes from Superbalist and had my mom "dress" them with leftover lace from my dress.
My husband gifted me the most beautiful pearl bracelet, my hairpiece was from Lovisa and I borrowed simple teardrop earrings from my aunt.
I lost my heart on L'Aquila Country Estate since my first visit to them and therefore my venue choice was easy.
The venue has 14 rooms where most of the family and a few friends stayed the night.
I am not one for a lot of soaps and creams and rituals. I am who I am and that was was my husband loved about me.
I wanted a simple yet modern look and opted for mirrors, glitter and silver. I love calla lilies which inspired the purple, white and green color scheme. Sunette Ferreira from L'Aquila Country Estate was responsible for all the decor and flowers. Everything else was included in the venue, even the draping and lighting (bonus).
Each groomsman were responsible for their own attire.
The groom 's suit was purchased at Coqui's in Kolonnade, shirt at Edgars, shoes at Shoe City.
My dad bought all the ties and bow ties in America.
The bridesmaid dresses were changed around 10 times but the color stayed the same throughout. I wanted to give them a dress they can wear again but still looked wedding worthy. After countless hours in different material shops we finally found the right accent material and the dresses started to take shape from there. My mother also made these dresses and they came out perfect! Thank you mom!

We could not ask for a better photographer as she went out of her way to accommodate our budget and location. Our photos speak for themselves.

WOW. We recently received our wedding video and what a treat it was. They captured every moment and every emotion, exactly as we wanted. I still cry every time I watch the video.
I mostly planned everything myself as I am a control freak and I knew exactly what I wanted. I was supported a lot from family and Sunette Ferreira from L'Aquila Country Estate.
Wedding food was out of this world! Almost everyone helped themselves to a second plate. The food was prepared by L'Aquila Country Estate under the management of Sunette Ferreira.
The wedding cake was a gift from my aunt, Hannetjie Marks. The best carrot cake we have ever tasted!
We did not have mush stationery as everything was online. I designed everything from the website to the seating chart myself.
Our welcome sign was designed by myself but printed by Epila Signs in Sinoville.
We had one dance lesson, but we winged it and I think it came out beautiful.
