The most memorable part of our special day, was looking into my husband's eyes, knowing he will be next to my side for the rest of my life. We had a surprise first dance planned on Frozen's Love is an open door, this was a very memorable moment. Me and my bridesmaid together with the groomsmen also had a surprise dance planned for the groom. This was the highlight of the day.
We went to Mauritius for our honeymoon. Unfortunately we both got sick, but we made the best out of it.
I was going for a mix between a beachy, boho yet modern bride. My wedding dress was designed by Nico Naude designs. I went for rose gold jewelry and shoes to go with the rosy undertone of my dress. After the ceremony I got rid of my heels and slipped into my cozy slippers for the rest of the night. Hair and make up was done by the famous and fabulous Wilna Alpass from the garden route. We went with a dark and smokey look as I gave the decision to her, and loved it! I added a flower hair piece to the final look just to add to the boho effect I was going for. My nails and toe nails were done a french ombre by the very talented Christelle Shute.

We are from Bloemfontein, but my dream has alway been to get married on the beach. We decided to get married at Hartenbos in a restaurant, Piza E Vino, with an amazing view. It was absolutely stunning. Me and my husband stayed at Botlierskop for our wedding night.
I really did want to go on a diet, but food makes me way too happy. I did some teeth whitening and took some extra vitamins to help with hair and nail growth.
I did not rent any decor for my wedding. I had a very small wedding, therefor I bought all my decor and after the wedding I sold it again. My wedding colours were gold, purple, green, blue and pink. My flowers were fake, but all greenery were fresh provided by my wedding planner as well as a few flowers in between. I bought and made the blue runners on the tables and also bought the purple napkins online. We used the furniture and lights provided by the restaurant and added some extra fairy lights where needed.
The groom went also for a beachy and sexy look. Wearing pants and a shirt from Edgars and a navy modern slim fit blazer from Trueworths Men. The groomsmen wore blue pants from Awerbuchs, shirts from Mr Price and the belts and shoes were bought at Queenspark. They all had sunglasses on from Bride and Co.
I wanted the bridesmaids to fit the theme, therefor the one had a purple dress, the other a green and the made of honour a blue dress. The dresses were ordered from Made of Honour ZA. Their shoes were bought and we made them fit the colour of their dresses by covering them with lace. I hand made their jewelry in order to fit the colour of their dresses as well.
We had an amazing Marriage Officer. Very funky, exactly what we were going for. Pastor Pieter Niemand from the garden route. He even played guitar during the service and sang a few songs for us.
Our photographer is Jacey Searra from the Garden Route. And we had a videographer, Jason Maggott, who made sure all our amazing moments were captured in motion.
Every wedding follows a basic structure, but in their own unique way as they display the personalities of the bride and groom.
I had the best wedding planner anyone can ever ask for. She helped me with everything and went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. She invisioned all my ideas and brought them to life. Thank you Zanri for everything.
There were no money left in our budget for any special transport so we took my mothers Mazda and my brother had the honour to drive the wedding car.
The food were prepared by the restaurant Piza E Vino, the guests were given a menu and they could choose between a few mains, including pizza, pasta and steaks. The starters were a list of canapes and for dessert malva pudding with custard and ice cream. The wedding cake was prepared by Auberine, Cakes 4 u, we had a lot of compliments about how amazing the cake tasted.
A family member of mine, Melinda Oosthuizen, designed our Invitations and our programs. The invitations were in the form of a passport and we got so many compliments of our amazing invitations and programs. She did an amazing job!
We had a Dj, Andy Cue, he was in charge of the music and lighting. We took some dance classes for our surprise dances we had planned for the wedding day.
