I decided on a natural look for my make-up which was done by Sonja Booysen (make-up artist).
For my hair I choose an up style with a lot of soft curls and was done by my cousin, Marlene Engelbrecht.
My wedding dress was bought at Bride & Co, Rivonia, a gift from my mother - it was a beautiful white strapless sweetheart a line dress, with a pleated organza bodice and lace applique with a corset back, and a natural waistline gown from tulle with a medium train.
My mother made my veil from soft bridal net and rounded it off with gems on the comb, and beads and sequins on the lower end.
My shoes, lingerie and accessories I bought from local stores that suit my preference - nice and elegant.
My Dad bought me elegant silver heart-shaped jewellery that consisted of a necklace, a bracelet and earrings from American Swiss, Cradle Stone as a gift.

On the Sunday, 2 days before our wedding, I went for a manicure (a french gel overlay), a pedicure (toe nail paint) and an eyebrow wax at Cindy's Health & Beauty Care in Krugersdorp.
All flower arrangements, including my bridal bouquet, pinned corsages and button holes were made by my Dad.
A red carpet covered with white rose petals was laid down between the row of guest chairs at the ceremony leading up to the pulpit.
The guest tables were big round tables covered with white table cloths and finished off with silver under plates, while elegant centre piece arrangements consisted of white roses, burned orange gerberas, cerise pink gerberas, white and Anastasia spider chrysanthemum and around the centre pieces there were glass bubbles with a single cerise/orange gerbera.
The brides' table centre pieces were made of white roses, white gerberas, white and Anastasia green spider chrysanthemum. Next to the centre pieces there were glass bubbles with a single white gerbera.
In the centre of the bridal table was a Mr & Mrs sign embedded on a bouquet of the same flowers.
My mother made a beautiful white organza draping for the brides table from organza, which was rounded of with white fairy lights underneath the draping. She also made white organza draping for the gazebo where the ceremony took place in the garden, as well as white chair sashes which were tied with a silver heart-shape buckles.
We made our own white heart shaped menus/silver table numbers.
Garden furniture was placed around the bar area and in the garden for the guest to relax. It certainly contributed to the garden wedding theme.
The groom worn a white long sleeve shirt, black trouser and black waistcoat with a lime green tie. He had no groomsmen. The groom and fathers worn the some outfit with the father of the bride bright orange tie, while the groom's father worn a bright pink tie. We had black socks printed for the groom and fathers: groom - lime green; father of the bride - bright orange;father of the groom - bright pink). The white long sleeve shirts, black trousers and black shoes were bought at Woolworths, Cleatwater Mall, while the ties and waistcoats were bought at the China Mall, Hillfox.
We decided not to have any bridesmaids.

We did not need transport because we got dressed at the venue.
The catering was done by the Head Chef and his team from Black Eagle Boutique Hotel.
The food consisted of a plated starter, the mains ( a selection of 3 meats, savoury rice, sorted baby potatoes, 2 vegetables and two salads and dessert (fresh fruit salad with ice cream and a passion fruit cheese cake was a buffet. The wedding cake was also served a part of the dessert.
The wedding cake, a two tier strawberry champagne cake was made by The Dancing Chef - Catherine Marais.
This wedding cake flavor comes very highly recommended by us.
We designed and printed our own stationery from the digital save the date and invites, to the printed the table seating lists, name tags, menus and the wedding newspaper - the newspaper was a great hit amongst all.
The guests' gift boxes we bought and fudge was made by my mother - it was enjoyed by all the guest..
The wedding ceremony started at 11H00 and took place in the garden at the gazebo with light instrumental music for background music that created the right wedding mood :)
The Wedding March on CMH's Hitched: The Country Wedding Collection was our choice of music for the bride to enter the ceremony. The ceremony was followed by pre-reception drinks for the guests while the different group photos were taken, followed by the bridal couple photos.
Our DJ was well known South African country singer & songwriter Gideon Hunter from Krugersdorp, who played Afrikaans Sokkie Music during the reception, it created a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.
The groom's uncle was the master of ceremony and did an brilliant job - all was kept well informed by him and the program ran very smoothly.
After the main buffet, the wedding cake was cut, to be served with the buffet dessert later. Then the bridal boutique and garter were tossed. After the buffet dessert was served, the shoe game was played where the bride and groom had to indicate to whom certain questions in the relationship applies. The shoe game was enjoyed by all and ensured for lots of fun amongst the guests and bridal party.
