The most memorable moment for us was when we were finally pronounced husband and wife. It was the most magical moment of our lives. There were so many highlights and so many memories made, but this one was by far the most amazing one yet.
No, we did not. Jason works out of South Africa and he needed to get back to work days after we got married. There was absolutely no time for a honeymoon even though we do badly wanted to jet off to an island somewhere.
At first, I had absolutely no clue on what I wanted. The image I grew up with in my head had totally left me and so I was back to the drawing board, trying to decide what I want. After many consultations, many visits to many websites, still, no luck. Eventually it downed on me... I knew what I wanted!! In my minds eye, I wanted a stark white dress, one which will fit my body well, not too much detail but also beautiful... I didn't want it too puffy, but also not A-lined. I also wanted my dress to be sexy, but not too revealing. For make up, I wanted a natural glowy look, soft make up. Nothing heavy or over the top. My make up artist achieved exactly that! She got it right, first time. I wanted my hair in an elegant, bridal style and the end result blew me away! My shoes.. Let's talk shoes. They were all forms of sparkly. It was strappy and had a block heel. They were comfortable and I could walk in them the entire day. Lingerie was a white lace gown. Jewelry was simple and elegant. I wore silver, sparkly earings, a simple thin silver chain with a little pendent. Accessories was a headpiece which was very dainty and petite too.
We celebrated our marriage and togetherness at Zonnervanger Wedding Venue in the picturesque Paarl in the Western Cape. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The moment I walked into the wedding venue, I knew! That was that. It brought tears to my eyes. The greenery, the ducks, the feeling was romantic, it was everything and more. We had guests staying over at Cana Vinyard Guesthouse. I also stayed over. It's the most beautiful guesthouse I have ever seen.

For months leading up to the wedding, I would do my usual walks and Zumba classes. For skin, I went for regular facials weeks before the wedding to even out my skin and reduce any redness. I had my nails and toenails done as well as a full body massage done before the wedding.
All decor and hiring was done through Magriki decor and styling. Our wedding colors were navy blue and blush pink. We wanted earthy elements and that's exactly what was done. There were flowers for days. In the hedges, on the canopy under which we got married. There were flowers everywhere which was extremely beautiful. My bouquet was the show stopper. I have never ever seen such a gorgeous bridal bouquet in my life before.
The groomsmen and groom were dressed in navy blue shoes, with tan leather belts and tan leather shoes. Their ties were a rustic color. The suits were bought at C2 (C squared), the grooms shoes at Tread and Miller, the groomsmen Markham and all ties were bought ayy Markham.
I had 3 bridesmaids and 1 maid of honor. 2 of the bridesmaids wore blush and the rest wore navy blue dresses. The style of the maid of honor and 2 bridesmaids were the same but the flower girls dress was very different. The style of their dresses was inspired by a picture we saw on Pintrest which was our greatest friend during wedding planning time.
Our marriage officer was William Page who also happens to be an Evangelist in our church.
We had the most amazing wedding photographer, Debbie Lourens. She had an assistant who filmed a video. We had booked Debbie a year in advance due to Debbie being so fully booked.

Cars were hired through Euro cars. They were black Mercedes Benz, 3 of them.
Zonnervanger has an in-house chef who prepared the most delicious meal. The food was spectacular!! Jenny from Emma's Cakes made the cake.

The reception was so much fun. We danced until we could no more. Due to jason not being in the country, dance lessons were something we couldn't do. However, our first dance was magical.
