Our whole wedding was filled with the most beautiful memories, but if I had to choose a few it would have to be seeing my husband for the first time, having my father daughter dance and the moment my mother put my veil on. These were special intimate moments that I was able to share with extremely special people in my life.
We had the privilege of doing a road trip through our beautiful country for two weeks.
We visited the following towns - Stormsriver, Hogsback, Underberg, Clarens, Graaff Reinet and finally Oudtshoorn.
I wanted to go for a timeless and elegant look. Hair and make-up was done by the super talented Salomè Zietsman from Brush salon.
Ilze Roux and I designed my dress.
And my jewelry was from Swarovski.
We got married at Langkloof Roses Estate in Wellington.
A few of our guests also stayed over in the BnB facilities provided on the farm
We were very blessed with the venue (Langkloof Roses Estate) that we chose, because they had all the furniture and most of the decor that we needed for our romantic/elegant themed wedding. Hannalie from Langkloof also did all our wedding floristry.
We did hire a few items from Something Borrowed, who also delivered a brilliant service.
The Groom looked uber dapper in a dark navy almost black suit with a navy floral tie and brown shoes from Tread and Miller.
Our groomsman wore a navy chino with matching ties and brown shoes. All the groomsmans attire were bought at Woolworths.
Our lovely ladies wore an off the shoulder long sleeve plum dress from YDE.
Both ladies look beautiful in the darker warm colours and they suited the wedding colours perfectly. We did not have a specific look in mind in the beginning, but when we stumbled upon these dresses we knew they were perfect for both ladies.
Henry Pike from Die Bron Church married us.
We made use of Milk and Honey photography, who did an amazing job capturing all the real moments which was important to us. Stephanie from Milk and Honey Photography is a great wedding photographer with a lifestyle edge which suited us perfectly.
Da’taan were our videographers and boy did these lovely ladies know what they were doing. They constantly made us feel calm and at ease.
We did not make use of a planner. We had a co-ordinator on the day, that was part of our wedding package provided by the wedding venue.
All our guests made use of their own transport - Uber, Take Me Home etc.
We also did not have a bridal car, seeing as the ceremony and reception was at the same estate.
Linda Bruyns from Heart Worx was the chef at our wedding and her food was out of this world.
We decided against having a wedding cake.
Little Ellie Cards did all our designs for the wedding. It was such a pleasure working with Danel and would definitely recommend her.
Wilhelm (my husband) and I both love to dance. So we spent quite a bit of time on the dance floor at the reception. We did not take any lessons before the time and just practiced our opening dance a few days before the wedding.
We also had the most amazing dj. DJ Dean read the crowd well and kept everyone grooving the night away.
