Our wedding day was perfect, we got married in the beautiful little town Franschhoek (Western Cape) It was everything we wanted and somehow it managed to be so much more! From the bridal suite where myself and my bridesmaids got ready, we've been friends for over 18 years, to share this day with two of my best friends was very special. We got married on our favorite wine farm with stunning views over the vineyards and Simonsberg mountains, which was also the same wine farm where we got engaged.
I am the only daughter and it was so special to have my dad with me and walk down the isle with him, memories I will cherish forever.
To top all of this, I married the man of my dreams, my husband and partner for life, can a girl get this lucky.
We spent a week in Cape Town just after the wedding and created such special memories, we are planning a spectacular honeymoon for the near future.
My beautiful dress was a full lace gown from the Blue by Enzoani range and was purchased from The Wedding Boutique, my very first fitting and with their help I found my dress.
I didn't want to take away from my dress so I decided on a plain white block heel from Steve Madden and drop earrings with a tennis bracelet.
Make up and hair - done by the most amazing Minke du Plessis from Cape Town, we had two make up artists for the day to ensure we look gorgeous and also helped us to manage our time.
Bride Bouquet - I had a single King Protea with Gyp and Pennygum, flowers were done by Flowers in the Foyer Stellenbosch

Bridal Suite - The Ivy Apartments Franschhoek, We spent the night before celebrating with champagne, pampering ourselves, taking photos and just enjoying the beautiful penthouse apartment we had all to ourselves.

NG Church Franschhoek - The church we selected for the ceremony was the well known Cape Style church in the heart of Franschhoek that was built in 1847 and with it's breathtaking background of the mountain it definitely added to our day.
Consumed enough water, exfoliated and moisturized and used masks on a regular basis for a healthy and refreshed skin
My nails was done by Candice (Bio Sculpture Nail Technician) which I have been going to for quite some time, we chose light nude colors with diamanté’s .... so pretty.
Our colors were white and grey, we wanted a soft and elegant look with minimal decor and flowers.
Protea was our main flower and we had these placed in large vases of different heights on the tables for centerpieces.

The venue on it's own has a nice elegant and sophisticated look to it and we left all their decor and couches as is, we love everything about this wine farm.
Groom - my husband to be at the time wore a grey suit with a darker grey tie and matching waistcoat, white shirt, brown tan shoes and belt. He was the most handsome groom ever.
With my partner I am an instant mommy and inherited two special boys ages 17 and 13 which my husband chose to be his groomsmen, a special moment for us all.

Theo van Hay from Paarl, we loved him from the first day we met, and I think we made a lifelong friend, we will definitely meet up with him again when we visit Franschhoek.
Photographer - super talented Jo West Photography captured every special moment and made our day memorable, we had a photoshoot done with him when we were still in the early stages of our relationship and that is when we fell in love with his work and attention to detail. We also had our engagement shoot done with him, for the wedding he traveled all the way to Cape Town from Mpumalanga.
We also had a sketch artist that sketched caricatures of all the guests on the day and this was our gift to each guest for sharing our special day with us. The guests loved it and it added that extra touch. Sketch artist - Martinus van Tee Caricatures

Did most of it myself and had the help of my mom and my bridesmaids. Loved every second of it

Food was prepared by the venue - Rupert & Rothschild , we selected a 3 course set menu and as always the food was define.
Cake - Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons & Wild Peacock - we had a cheese cake with real cheese wheels that we thought would go so well with the wine, and we had the cheese decorated with fresh fruits and honey - it was so yummy and we finished every little bit.
We had newspapers printed for the day of the wedding and the plan of events was in the newspaper, it also included a story of our journey together and photos of us throughout the years
Also had a wedding guestbook where all our guests wrote down their wishes and blessings.

We decided to do things a bit different and had our ceremony in the morning, wedding during lunch where we then all departed from the wine farm and had a fun night on the town in Franchhoek with all our guests.
