Our wedding day was my "fairy tale princess wedding" dream come true. Everything was perfect, I would not change anything about our wedding day.
The night before our wedding day my husband arranged with one of my friends to shower me with gifts just before our wedding day and on our wedding day. With each gift I received a hand written letter from my husband. I would never forget the excitement of opening each gift and not knowing what to expect. I never thought that he could be that romantic. He literary swept me off my feet with a canvas filled with photos of all our times together as a couple and ending all the gifts off with a Pandora for my bracelet(a beautiful heart with these written words "my beautiful wife forever & always").
My special moments was when my dad saw me for the first time in my wedding dress. The expression on his face was priceless , it was something that I can't find the words to describe "the way he looked at me was like he saw me for the first time in his life", the tears of joy, the proud look in his posture as he walked me down the isle. It will be something that I will forever treasure in my heart.
Then my husband saw me, he could not stop crying and the way he looked at me was also like he saw me for the first time. I fell in love with my husband all over again when I saw him standing there waiting for me. I felt so special, like a real princess. God truly made my husband perfectly for me to love and cherish.
Our first dance was also one of my memorable moments as I will never forget our dance or the songs we danced to. We danced on Shania Twain-From this moment, when the song ended I ran off the dance floor and my maid of honor helped me to quickly take of the skirt and get ready for our next song with my 2nd dress. Our 2nd song was Dirty Dancing - Time of my Life(Patrick Swayze).
The moment I will also treasure the most and had me in tears was when my grandfather sang me my favorite song at the reception: Elvis Presley-I can't help falling in love with you. I could not have been more grateful and full of joy when my grandfather surprised me with my favorite song. I am grateful being able to have experienced that moment with my grandfather.
As I am typing my special moments it feels as if I am reliving our wedding all over again and I get chills down my spine just thinking about our wedding day and how perfect it was for us.
Yes we did go on honeymoon.
We spend a week at Ngwenya Lodge since I wanted to spend some time with my husbands overseas family that came all the way for the wedding.
We went to Maldives 1st: You and Me By Cocoon. O my goodness it was picture perfect, words cannot describe how beautiful the island is. We went for a photo shoot of a lifetime that we will never forget. We had dinner at the underwater restaurant as well and that was an amazing breathtaking experience.
After our week in the Maldives we went to Bali for a few days. We stayed at Hotel nikko bali benoa beach. We loved Bali so much that we will most definitely go back. We tried to work in as much excursions as possible. We experienced the Balinese ways and we were able to work in some golf time at New Kuta Golf Course. The view, the people, the vibe, the food, their traditions, the temples was absolutely amazing.
I could not have asked for a better honeymoon.
I went for the princess look as I always dreamed of looking like a princess on my wedding day: Long trail, Long veil, Crown, Stiletto shoes etc. The twist in my look was my shoes, as my husband is short, I could not go for the Stiletto's, I had to have an alternative option for more suitable shoes. My wedding dress was 2 dresses in 1 as I had a mini dress underneath the skirt. My bridal shoes was specially hand made with love for me to fit my feet and dress perfectly including my garter. My crown looked natural finishing off my whole princess look. My veil was 6M long with my skirt being 3M long to achieve my whole "princess" look. I am a glitter type of woman but I went for a more natural elegant type of dress with a bit of sparkle. My Jewelry was part of the "bit of sparkle" and it matched my dress and look perfectly.
My wedding ring was custom made and we added a wedding ring for the wedding to symbolize our love for each other. My ring exceeded my expectations as I did not expect my ring to look so beautiful. My nails was done with loads of love to suit my entire look and dress, I did not request any shape or color, Idalette just knew how to work her magic to make me look perfect on our wedding day. Yolandi from Angelic Allure did my hair and make-up perfectly as that specific look was my biggest dream and she played a part in making my dream come true. I am blessed being able to describe my dream look to the world and showcasing all the talented people that played a part in our perfect day.

Our wedding theme was : Around the world in a hot air balloon.
The meaning behind the theme is my husband's family is British and lives overseas and the hot air balloon symbolize travelling.
We had so many ideas when it came to the decor of the wedding but when it all came together we were in awe. We had pastel colors for the wedding. The flowers had so much meaning to us since the protea was my husband grandmother's favorite flower before she passed away and I had lily's in all the arrangements as well to honor my grandmother who passed away as well. We had huge rings on our tables with flowers and hanging candles. We had perspex "in flight menu's" on the tables and our gifts to the guests was perspex "hot air balloon" coasters to take home. We had round tables with little hot air balloons indicating their table number hanging from the ring. We had little crystals all over the tables and fairy lights for that extra bit of sparkle. We had lighting colors to match our wedding colors and vibe. The words I can use to describe our decor etc is amazing, colorful and extravagant.
We had a candle burning in the church for our close family friend "uncle Shawn Oelofse" who passed away in the same month as our wedding, to honor him.
We had hanging flowers and lanterns in the Church and a glass showcase with my glitter stiletto's that I was suppose to wear at the signing table with a note: "He asked, I said I Do".

I told my Maid Of Honor and bridesmaids that they should wear what they feel comfortable in. I chose the colors and they chose the design, I was very lenient regarding their dresses since I wanted them to feel as special and beautiful as I did on our wedding day.
They chose long ,elegant and flowy dresses. Some of them got their look from fitting different dresses and some of them got their look of pinterest.
Verlief Boutique made their dresses.
