Wow, where do I even begin...
One of my favourite moments was our traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Being able to honour and show respect to the family members who raised both my husband and I was an absolute privilege.
Another highlight was our caricaturist, Alan Simpson. He was such a hit with all of guests and definitely had us and our guests in stitches with his work.
Lastly, was the one moment my husband and I stood back and looked at our venue (Summer Place, Hyde Park) and guests and actually thought.. this is all for us. All these people are here to celebrate our love. This was a priceless moment.
Yes, we decided to explore our very country by heading to the Garden Route and staying in Wilderness.
I wanted a very elegant and clean look.
My hair and makeup was very romantic and effortless.
I had the lovely influencer and Youtuber, KandyKane, doing my hair and makeup.
My dress was effortless and so comfortable from Bride&Co Rivonia. It was a chiffon material, ivory colour, A-line shaped dress with a sweetheart neckline with a see-through detailed bodice. It was beautiful!
All my jewelry was from Lovisa and I stuck with a rose-gold coloured theme. Simple drop earrings with a simple necklace.
Lingerie was from La Senza, simple lace, white, criss-crossed underwear which made me feel beautiful.
Summer Place, Hyde Park.
I did not change anything from my usual day-to-day routine with regards to skincare and health & fitness. The day before, my bridesmaids and I went for a pamper session at Blushingtons.
My decor and flowers were absolutely magical!
They were done by the lovely Talita who owns Flowers Direct. I left everything in her capable hands.
She created the most beautiful palette of colours - soft pinks, greenery, rose golds. I could not have imagined anything more romantic and elegant.
Groom wore a dark navy blue fitted suit, white shirt, brown shoes with a white and blue tie.
Best man wore a grey suit with a white shirt and black shoes.
Both suits were bought from Khaliques, Cedar Square.
Both ladies wore a neutral peachy floor length dress. It had lace like detail on the top with scalloped sleeves.
Iain Wardhaugh.
Luke and Felicia Van. A husband and wife dynamic duo.
No we didn't have a planner.
Our family members assisted with transport.
We used the in-house catering from Summer Place. It was devine!
I designed the stationery myself on Canva and printed them myself.
Our reception was a massive party with good food, music and a whole-lot of dancing. We did not have formal dance lessons, we learnt a basic waltz from YouTube.
Shawn from Wedding Crashers was our DJ, sound and lighting 'guy'. He was incredible!!
