The whole day was a highlight in our life's. We had a tough year with loosing my father in law 4 month's before our wedding. The smile on my husband's face when i walked into the church, is a face i would NEVER forget. The pride in my father's eye's, a feeling no one will ever understand! Memorable moments - well, our dance! Being in his arms as "Mr's", felt pretty good.
5 Days at Waterberg Game Park in Limpopo. Just us and nature - relaxing to the max !!
It is every girl's dream to look like Cinderella on her wedding day - well, most of the girls! I wanted to look like me, i wore a Bride n Co dress - stunning! Not too puffy, not to slim, just perfect! Wore a very comfy pair of Zelly shoes - heels wouldn't have worked as the wedding was on our farm and my feet wouldn't have loved me very much. Hair was up-style because in this heat, nice wavy hair also wouldn't have lasted and it complimented my dress very well as it had a low open back. Jewellery i wore my late grandma's pearls - some sentimental.
On our farm in Tzaneen, next to the Broederstroom river. Most of our guests are from the area, just some family members that stayed over.
NONE - God made me as i am, why change?
Didn't have much flowers as it was to warm. Two king proteas on a rustic wooden underplate completed with a glass dome over and eucalyptus runners on the tables. Our menu's were lazered on wood and stood on the tables. Lighting - warm white fairy lights - the whole roof was covered - WHAT a mission!! Furniture was rustic wooden tables and clear tiffany chairs rented from Sugar and Spice in Polokwane.
We did't have groomsmen, the groom wore brown shoes, khaki chinos, white shirt, a navy blue suit jacket, brown leather suspenders and a lovely brown leather bow tie - oh and please don't forget his shocking neon PINK socks !!! We rented the suit jacket from Bride n Co and bought the rest - had his suspenders and bow tie made.
I did not have bridesmaids. My sister wore a lovely coral floral dress from truworths and soft pink pumps from woolworths.
Ds Aubrey Hough from AP Kerk Tzaneen
Well we were blessed.
I had two photographers and a videographer and it didn't cost a thing!!! Jip - my uncle is a DJ & Photographer and my dad's best friend's wife is also a photographer - so our music, photos and video was a wedding gift.
We had a lot of fun with the photos, because we took all of them as we were driving to the venue - everytime they saw a nice big rock or tree we had to stop, get out and take photos!
No, planned and did everything myself.
We used my dad's new Toyota Fortuner.
Belinda from Belindas Catering Services - Polokwane did our food, absolutely STUNNING , we had a spit braai.
Wedding cake was a naked chocolate fudge double layer cake made by Twigs coffee shop in Tzaneen.
Did not have any.
No dance lessons, sound/lighting was my uncle, from Pretoria.
