Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true. Preparing to walk down the isle to meet my husband was so exciting and overwhelming for me. The morning was filled with laughs, tears, joy, and food obviously.
As I put my wedding gown on I knew that this day would be edged into my memory for years to come!!
The honeymoon was a complete surprise for me. The only information my husband gave me was that i need to pack summer clothing. He planned everything. I only found out after a 12 hour flight to Hong Kong that we were en-route to the beautiful Bali. We spent two weeks enjoying our new marriage and a new country. It was the perfect honeymoon destination.
My dress was designed and made by the beautiful Tony from Wrawsilke. I gave her free reign to make me look beautiful on my wedding day and she definitely pulled it off. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would wear a figure hugging dress, but I absolutely loved it and felt like a princess. Funny Story - the wedding ceremony was set to start at 3pm but my dress only arrived at the venue at 1pm. I was very relaxed about it but my mom and maid of honor were absolutely stressed out. Hey, if the dress didn't make it,I would have walked down the isle in my white bridal robe lol.
My hair and make up were done by good friends of mine, Sheree and Stacey. This power combo made all of us look absolutely beautiful!
My shoes were from Call it Spring.
My jewellery and accessories were all my late granny's. I wanted to feel her close to me as I take this huge step in my life.
We had our wedding ceremony at the beautiful picturesque Red Ivory in Hartbeespoort. Their service was absolutely amazing, from our very first meeting to our wedding day. Eunice, the wedding co-ordinator, was willing to assist with all of our queries and requirements. She is definitely a gem and made sure everything ran smoothly on our big day.
Our familes were travelling to Harties from The South of Johannesburg as well as KZN, most of our guests stayed at the beautiful accommodation at Red Ivory. The rest of our guests stayed at Magalies Park or booked on Airbnb.
