I remember the moment I saw my husband for the first time on our wedding day. He watched as I walked down the aisle. I remember thinking how blessed and lucky I was to be marrying him, my best friend, my dream was finally about to become reality.
We went to Hartbeespoort
I wore a traditional Indian bridal outfit that my mother bought from India. The look I was going for was inspired by a Bollywood movie that I absolutely love! I had created visual boards for my mom to refer to while shopping for me in India so she would have a good idea of what I wanted. My mum is a hairstylist so she styled my hair and dressed me on the day which was really special to me.
The Winchester in Durban
I wanted to keep my skin hydrated and clear for my wedding so I used as little makeup as possible in the days leading up to the big day. I also used a charcoal peel off mask every second week.
We found a beautiful venue surrounded with floor to ceiling glass windows. Our venue had a good balance of natural light with bright, elegant interiors. We had clear tiffany chairs and high gloss modern white tables along the aisle.
We used Eastern Elegance for our stage decor. We absolutely loved their decor style from our first meeting with them and knew they would be the perfect fit.
My husband wore a traditional Indian suit that was made in India
I found Conway photography online and instantly knew I wanted them to do our photography. Their work is absolutely amazing!!

My husband, our family and our friends all helped plan and coordinate our wonderful day. We delegated tasks to different people for the day to run smoothly.
I arrived in a Mustang, it's one of my favourite cars and my husband arrived in a GTR. Both cars were borrowed from family friends.
Our Venue prepared the food for our wedding and our guests really enjoyed it.
I am a graphic designer so I designed our invitations and wedding stationary. My husband and I actually spent hours on our invites. I was fussy and wanted something very specific and we couldn’t find the envelopes I wanted for the invites. We then ended up making them and we were very happy at the end.
I used to take dance lessons so my husband and I learned a short dance routine and surprised our guests at our reception. We also had a separate function 2 days before the wedding day called a Sangeet, where both our families and guests performed dance routines and sang songs.
