The whole day was a memorable moment but the ones that really stood out on the day were:
My gorgeous daughter helping me put my shoes on, and fluffing my dress every opportunity she got, she also helped hold my dress up so it wouldn’t get dirty while I was walking.
The giggles from my bridesmaids, when I poured champagne all over myself while taking “getting ready” photos, Luckily I wasn’t wearing my dress at the time.
The look on my brother’s face when he saw me for the first time wearing my wedding gown, and I was blessed to have him walk me down the aisle too.
My ultimate memory was the way my husband looked at me while I was walking down the aisle. He had the biggest smile on his face and tears in his eyes.
We enjoyed our honeymoon in the mother city, Cape Town.
I wore an ivory Maggie Sottero Storm wedding gown from Olivelli Northcliff, paired with charcoal coloured Oleg Cassini shoes from Bride and co. My jewellery was from American Swiss and hair accessories was bought at Lovisa.
My Hair and make-up was done by the very talented Andrie from Marilyn makeup artistry, she was so patient with my last minute hair changes. (Yes, I changed my hairstyle on the day)
We said our “I Do’s” at the beautiful country venue Tres Jolie in Ruimsig. The stunning stone Chapel and amazing gardens with fountains made a great backdrop for some of our photos.
Only my husband and I got to spend the night at the venue, followed by a delicious breakfast the next morning.

My flowers and décor was inspired by Beauty and the Beast – I always loved the idea of flowers in a dome. I also had alternating arrangements or high and low to create some contrast.
The main flowers we used were Roses and Proteas. All our flowers and décor was done by a very dear friend Malanie Haggard.
My handsome groom wore a navy suit with a light grey waist coat and a navy and silver tie, he also wore brown shoes and belt.
The groomsmen all wore light grey suits with a navy and silver tie, and black shoes and belts. They all wore funky navy and pink socks.

My beautiful ladies wore infinity dresses, with mesh skirts from Faire L’Amore Bridal, with silver shoes. Their jewellery was bought from Lovisa and gifted to them. Their hair was done in loose curls and side plaits, they each had a different look. They also received personalised hoodies for after the ceremony, the hoodies were done by Marlene from Wonder Print.
Philip de Lange from Eagle Excellence Ministries, he performed a lovely ceremony for us.
Our day was captured by Louis Thornhill from LBT Photography. Louis is a real gem, and we had tons of laughs on the day with his quirky sense of humour.
If my mom counts as a planner then yes, I had one. She was my right hand lady from day one.

Our cake was made by Candice at Pastry Angel – It was the most delicious Chocolate and Carmel cake, iced with Lindt white chocolate and decorated with Navy blue ribbon and fresh pink roses.

We entered our reception on Loco Motion by Kylie Minogue, it was so much fun and we managed to get some of our guests to join in on the fun.
My husband and I didn’t take any dance lessons – we only decided on our first dance song two weeks before the wedding.
The father daughter dance was between my husband and our daughter, a very special moment that had most of our guests in tears.
