We unfortunately did not go on honeymoon, as we had just bought a house and received our keys 1 week before we got married. We did not want the added pressure of going on honeymoon straight after the wedding, so we rather decided we would do some renovations first and started making our house a home. We are planning to go somewhere on our 1 year anniversary.
Highberry Boutique Winery is situated just on the outskirts of Somerset West. This rustic and intimate establishment resembles features of a modern countryside barn.
Many of our guest had booked there own accommodation in and around the Somerset area as there were many options to choose from via Air BnB. The venue is situated about 40min from Cape Town, so it was pretty easy for those that preferred to go straight home.
The night before the wedding... The entire bridal party together with my parents and his parents stayed at the Luxurious Lalapanzi Lodge. It was about 10min away from our wedding venue. We booked out 2 of the self- catering lodges. All the guys stayed in the one and all the ladies stayed in the other. It is an absolute hidden gem... And the morning of the wedding we took some really beautiful pics in the garden.
I had done nothing out of the ordinary with my beauty regime. I continued my daily skin routine leading up to my wedding.. Which was using my 3 favorite daily products namely: Bioderma Face Wash, continued by using my Bioderma Face cream (Sensibio Forte) and lastly ending it off with Heliocare advanced gel sunscreen. Very simple routine, however i have tried to increase my water intake about 2months before the wedding.

We never had a planner to help co- ordinate the day... But my beautiful bridesmaids had it all under control as they were well aware of what needed to be actioned or looked after.
One of my very good friends prepared all my canapés. Wow, what an incredible spread. His also the Excutive Chef at one of the Top Hotels in Cape Town.
Our Mains and dessert was prepped by the incredible Ashraf Naidoo who own a company called We Braai. Yes exactly that... We braai'ed on our wedding.
Our food was really made with love ♥. It was absolutely breathtaking and till today our guests cannot stop raving about the food.
