My husband and I had an amazing day filled with loads of laughter and love.
We had so much fun doing our wedding photo shoot together and our catering was amazing. I still dream of our chocolate ganache wedding cake.
Most of all, I think our handfasting ceremony was the most special and memorable moment of our entire day.
We haven't gone on honeymoon because we can't afford it, yet. We are hoping to take our very 1st overseas trip together once our wedding has been paid off.
My wedding look was traditional with a gothic twist and Celtic influences.
I chose a delicate off white lace dress from Bride & Co. and paired it with a gorgeous black, maroon and silver tiara by Magpie Calls.
Our wedding had a Celtic theme to it, so I wore my hair in a half up style that was inspired by traditional viking warrior hairstyle worn by shield maidens.
My makeup (by Amber-Lee Horne) was very dramatic to match my tiara and I wore beautiful statement earrings from a pop up boutique in Pavillion to pull the look together. I chose some stunning chunky white heels from Wish.com, wore a super comfortable strapless bra from Satin Candy.
If I had to describe our wedding look/theme it would be Celtic with a modern twist.
We got married at a stunning wedding venue just outside of Camperdown, KwaZulu-Natal. The venue, Eden Lassie, was actually right next to the farm my father-in-law grew up on with his foster family.
I had my hair colour done by Jess at Hair On 115 in Westville.
I didn't have any other treatments.
Our decor by Daleliteful Decor was exquisite! We had maroon, black and silver decor that included beautiful greenery to break up the bold colours.
We had three greenery and flower loops hanging on the walls and we had a feature wall with fairy lights and vines hanging from floor to ceiling. I chose white draping and fairy lights to scallop from the ceiling and round tables. My table centerpieces were a selection of candles, glass jars, and rustic pieces of wood. Some of the tables even had wooden baskets on the tables with roses and greenery in them.
My hubby hired a full traditional Royal Stewarts Scottish outfit from Rob Roy Scottish Supplies. Our groomsmen hired charcoal grey suits from Debonair Suit Hire.
My bridesmaids wore stunning high-low black evening dresses with maroon waist belts, denim jackets and maroon feather earrings.
The dresses, belts and jackets were bought from China Mall in Durban and the earring were bought at Lovisa.

I did all the planning myself with some help from Daleliteful Decor
No transport was arranged for my wedding.
CHC Catering did an amazing job and setting up and delivering delicious food. Our wedding cake was a decadent chocolate cake from Château Gâteaux - CHOCOLATE NOSTALGIA!
My husband is a designer, so he designed our invites, save the dates, table chart and 'Thank You' cards for the favours.
Our DJ Brett MaD had us dancing the night away. For the father daughter dance, my father and I danced to Isn't she lovely by Stevie Wonder and our 1st dance was to Temple of Thought by Poets of the Fall.
DJ Brett MaD included all the lighting and sound equipment in his fee and was great at reading a crowd.
