Standing infront of the mirror with my wedding dress on made me realise that it is happening at last! Everything we have been planning for the past six monthes is happening today!
The drive from the guest house to the venue felt so long...I felt my heart beating the whole time, but when I saw Tiaan's face I felt so happy and excited!
We both said yes and made a promise to each other, the kiss sealed the deal and I couldn't stop smiling!
Tiaan and I speeched on our parents together because we wanted to say thank you to them for all they have done for us and still do for us.
Our first dance was improv....I think it wasn't that bad.
We throw the bouquet and the garter and just enjoyed the rest of the evening with our family and friends.
The Monday after our wedding we got up, went to the airport, flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg, went home, packed a honeymoon bag and got in the car. We drove to Black Rhino Game Lodge in the Pilanesberg National Park in North West. We stayed there for a week, but time flies when you are having fun! We relaxed while sitting by the fire and drinking a glass of wine, went on early morning games drives and saw 4 of the Big 5. We went horse riding, ziplined and went for a romantic spa day!
My wedding look was simple but classical.
My hair was taken back into a low bun and out of my face. I had a smokey eye and pink/nude lip. Both my hair and makeup was done by Annemart Strydom.
I had a timeless wedding dress with a boat neck, open back and sleeves. The dress was made from Duchess Satin by Hannelore Mattheyser.
I wore beige zip-up block-heel ankle boots from Aldo.
The only jewellery I wore was pearl earrings.
We got married at DuVon Wedding & Wine Estate. The guests stayed in guest houses at the venue and in and around Robertson. Tiaan and I stayed in a guest house on the golf course in Robertson - Hook Shot Lodge
My flowers, lets rather say greenery, was my décor. The only flowers I had was Gypsy Baby's Breath the rest was greenery consisting of Olive, Eucalyptus branches and ect. The greenery were hanging from beams in the roof. My flowers was done by Blommeprag
There were a lot of fairy lights and naked globes as well.
