The moment I opened my eyes on the morning of my wedding day I knew it was a day I would never forget - I was going to marry the man of my heart and of my dreams.
Walking down the aisle was an absolutely amazing overwhelming feeling with so much emotion it was hard to keep it all locked inside. When I saw Van Zyl I just knew that this moment was perfect and exactly the way it should be. The love I saw in his eyes I simply cannot describe.
I feel that our wedding day was a perfect combination and reflection of the both of us - there was a sense of classic elegance and formality like my dress and his suit and some parts of the decor which ties in with his strong grounded personality, and then the extravagance and bursts of popping colors in bright flowers with dark rich burgandy, dark pinks, light yellow, coral and purple which was a strong testimony of my bubbly out there personality. This perfect combo is something which I loved and made me feel so comfortable at our wedding.
The setting was amazing in the heart of Tulbagh, with the most perfect weather anyone could have asked for on the 27th of April. We were truly blessed with everything falling exactly into place and as it should be.
Our food was incredible and the dancing and having a blast was even a bigger success as our guests simply did not want to leave the dance floor which made our hearts happy.
All in all it was a magical day and I would not have changed a single thing. I still cannot believe how lucky I am to have married this amazing soul. A day which will forever be in our hearts.
I went for a elegant classic look with a little bit of an edge.
My dress was fit and flair strapless with a long classic veil.
My shoes were burgandy heels with straps and detail on the strap over the toes.
My jewelery was minamilistic as my dress had quite a bit of detail.
Decor was elegant with bursts of color. Flowers were a combination of Dahlias, roses and amaranthus. Dark burgandy, dark pink, light yellow, coral and bits of purple with granadilla leaves and branches.
My groom wore a dark charcoal suit custom fitted from Euro suit with charcoal detail on his tie.
His groomsmen wore light charcoal suits with burgandy ties.
My bridesmaids wore burgandy infinity wrap dresses
