The best part was marrying my best friend and that first moment we locked eyes while I was walking down the isle.
One of the things I specifically remember is just before I walked into the Forest Chapel, before the music started, I felt this overwhelming sense of peace. I could hear the birds sing and the wind blowing through the trees. My dad still stopped and asked me if I am ready and in that moment I knew I would never be as ready for anything ever again.
It was the most special day of my life and I loved celebrating it with my friends and family. Definitely one of the highlights was everybody enjoying themselves and dancing into the early hours of the morning. When the venue said the music should be stopped everyone moved outside to the bonfire and continued.
We went for an amazing honeymoon in Bali where we explored as much of the breathtaking island as we could. Definitely a MUST see is the Lempuyang temple - Heaven Gate. It has the most beautiful view of Mount Agung, which is an active volcano and the highest point on the island. I would recommend it as a honeymoon destination for anyone, especially if you love exploring!
I have always wanted an autumn wedding and I wanted my look to go with that.

My hair & makeup was done by Elrike from Canvas Make-up & Airbrush Artistry.
My gorgeous rose gold shoes were from Opari and my jewellery and accessories from Kathleen Barry Bespoke Occasion Accessories. As you can see, my accessories had a rose gold theme, even my perfume bottle was the gorgeous 212 VIP Rose Extra by Carolina Herrera. This was a gift from Okkie on the big day and I wore it for the first time on our wedding day. Now every time I wear it it brings back memories of our special day for both of us :)

We got married at the absolutely stunning Florence Guest Farm. We chose to have the service in the Forest Chapel as we wanted to get married outside. It creates the perfect ambience for a fairytale wedding.
They also have a special area for the men to get ready (Die Ramkamp) just like the girls have their area (Mooi Nooi), which is something we found unique and cute.
The accommodation on the venue was fully booked by our guests, the other guests stayed in Chrissiesmeer which is more or less 5km from the venue.
I did a couple of chemical peels in the year leading up to the wedding at Gunther Oliver. I also did one micro needling session.
I ensured to eat healthy and exercise regularly to feel good and confident on my wedding day.
My decor and flowers were done by Gonk Weddings.
I wanted simple, but elegant. I am a firm believer in Leonardo Da Vinci's quote "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication".
I love eucalyptus so that formed the base of everything. We also added Baby's Breath (plain white and sprayed some of it rose gold which really looked unique), succulents and light pink roses. Rose gold hemmelis was also incorporated on the tables as well as at the Ceremony.
We folded 2500 origami birds to be hanged in the Forest Chapel as well as in the reception area and I absolutely LOVED how it came out. I couldn't have done it without my mom and my bridesmaids.
The groom's floral tie and the groomsmen's floral bow ties were purchased from JcClick Shop.
My bridesmaids wore floral skirts which were made by Jasmine Fashion Design Studio.
Each of them wore a unique burgundy top of their choice.
The burgundy tops and lighter floral skirts complemented Autumn well, which I loved!
My mom's uncle was our marriage officer. It was very special, because I have known him my whole life.
Our special moments on our special day was captured by A Bear Photography and Latitude Visuals.
We loved both of their photography and videography styles and our photos and wedding video was perfect!
We did not have a wedding planner, we wanted to be involved in all the details.
