We had the groom walk down the aisle to a Jay-Z song that made an impact but definitely my grandad who walked me down the aisle made the first highlight. We also had outdoor games while we took our couple pics that everyone loved! (Games by Mr and Mrs games). As we went into the venue the speeches were great fun and our MC added to it with two dance performances! Our first dance was great and I had a grandad and granddaughter dance. The rest of the night were filled with dancing.
We went to the One and Only hotel after the wedding but we planning to go to Switzerland or Norway next year.
I loved the Art Deco idea with boho chic. My dress was from Bride and Co. it had so much beaded jewelry in a modern Art Deco pattern. For the boho idea I had a vail made into a clip on fairytale cape as well as a jeweled head piece instead of a tiara. I had silver diamanté shoes from Steve Madden and to finish it off simple black diamanté earrings that matched my black diamond ring. For my hair and make up I wanted dark lips and lots of lashes, my hair and make up was done by Vanessa Kroeger (Vanessa Kroeber make up) who also brought in a hair stylist she works with Chante. I wasn’t able to wear a bra and only had a seamless thong because my dress was tight.
We got married at Bel Air Pavillion, they have on the venue accommodation and guests stayed at other accommodation in and around Paarl.
I generally have good skin so I didn’t change any skin regime. Health wise I always try to eat healthy day to day but I must say the stress bought out some sweet snacks but It also made me loose 4kgs. I did go to the spa for a massage and facial two weeks before (One and Only day spa) as well as I had my eyebrows shaped (Elemental Health and Beauty), hair treatment and trim as well as nails (Blonde Cape Town).
I love simple! Our colour theme was black, white, hints of rose gold and gold. We only had white roses that were placed on top of dried moss and LED lights in a rose gold geometric vase (we had 1 large and two smaller geometric vases) we also had two fish bowl fairy candles. We had clear underplates with black napkins. We also had black wine glasses and rose gold cutlery. We hired everything from Grand Style Hiring
The best man hired a suit from Euro suit hire. The groom had a suit made at Zed where he also got his shoes, shirt and tie. I bought him a Timberland watch as a gift and accessory for the wedding.
I wanted black bridesmaid dresses and plum shoes. We got the bridesmaid dresses from MRP and shoes from China Town :)
We got our marriage officer from a company “Just married” his name is Cecil Wessels and he was great!
We had both an amazing photographer and video graphed!! Our photographer Chantel and her second shooter took absolutely breath taking images (Chantel and May photography). We haven’t received all our images yet so we have a lot more to come! Our videographer captured every moment! We should see our first teaser in a few weeks. (Mark Fisher Videography)

bride and bridesmaids stayed at the venue the night before. The groom arrived in a Jaguar.
We had Didi’s Mexican/ Didi’s Bitchin Burritos do our food. We had Mexican canapés and for the main we had feast to table setting so the table can dish food family style by passing the plates around. For dessert we had chocolate caramel cupcakes in a cup that the guests could take away with them which were made by Velvet Cake and Co. they also made us a mini red Velvet cake to cut.
We had no printed stationary.
We only had a DJ (Atic DJ’s) and we didn’t take any dance lessons we just had fun and we were ourselves :)
