A traditional catholic wedding ceremony at Lynnwood catholic church in Pretoria. Followed by our magical wedding reception at the beautiful Greenhouse Cafe. My most memorable moment is having my amazing mom walk me down the aisle with a picture of my late father. Seeing my hubbys face at the alter still gives me goosebumps.
We didnt go on a lavish Honeymoon overseas or anything but chose to rather spend the time we could with my family. My sister and her family came to SA for our wedding all the way from Australia so we decided to go on a Familymoon to Hoedspruit for a few days, taking all that South Africa has to offer in each day.
I found my dream wedding dress at Whimsical Exclusive Bridal Hire in Centurion. A Rebecca Ingram classic and demure ballgown featuring lace appliqués cascading over tulle the skirt and illusion off-the-shoulder neckline to which i added some subtle beading for a glittery effect. I found a beautiful pair of royal blue shoes with a gorgeous diamante detail on the heel.
My make up was done by Nicole from Flawless make up and hair by Grazia for my up style. I chose an up style to show off the gorgeous keyhole detail on the back of my dress. The chose to use a diamond tennis bracelet that belong to my mom, a gift from my late dad and gorgeous blue crystal earrings which were gifted to me by my boss.
Out wedding service took place at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Lynnwood, Pretoria.
Our reception venue was The Greenhouse Cafe at Rosemary Hill in Pretoria
I chose to go on a strict eating and training programme through FitBunz.
I went for dermaneedling 2 weeks prior to the wedding at White Orchid Salon.
Got my hair done by Hair by Grazia
I decided to be a different Bride, I didn't want to go with the pinks and Rose Golds. I wanted a lot of Greens and succulents with a hint of blue and white combined with fairy lights in the arrangements. We got personalized wooden coasters made with a mini Succulent as the thank you gift for our guests. We used blue and white napkins with hessian napkin rings with quite a few candles on the table and the Greenhouse Cafe had the most beautiful cement under plates that we used. I asked The Greenhouse cafe to arrange wooden Tiffany chairs for the wedding. Our DJ is well known to the Portuguese community and assisted with come of the lighting on the dance floor.
The Groom got his suit from Carducci Menlyn and we hired the groomsmen suits from Euro suit in Boksburg.
I arranged Star wars storm trooper cuff links for the groomsmen and a Darth Vader set for the groom. My sister arranged Star wars socks which she brought through from Australia. The Blue ties were from Woolworths.
My sister arranged the Bridesmaids dresses for me in Australia as i just couldn't find something i liked here in South Africa. Again i was staying away from the pinks and rose golds. I arranged their Jewelry from Lovisa and the shoes were from Solo shoes and Shoe City.
Our Marriage officer was Father Fr. Bogdan Wilkaniec from Lynnwood Catholic Church as well as Father Samuel Madza from Montana Catholic Church.
Theresa Franken the Boss Lady at Rosemary Hill was my Coordinator! She was absolutely amazing!!
For the transport, we didn't have much planned. I asked a few friends and family to drive the bridesmaids and groomsmen. then a friend who has a Jeep drove me to the church and then Hubby n I to the venue.
The Venue was responsible for all the food. My wonderful mom who bakes for a living, made my gorgeous and delicious wedding cake. Our cake topper was made by My Mini Me.
All our stationary was designed and printed by my Sister in-law Ricarda Rebelo.
Claudio and I were gifted Dance lessons by my best friend Leanne through Dancemore. we went for 4 lessons with Brice who helped us learn our opening dance. Our DJ is well known to the Portuguese community DJ Vix. He assisted with all the music and lighting.
