My shoes I had actually bought for another occasion a few months prior to the wedding, I ended up loving them so much I decided to wear them for the wedding - they went with the dress perfectly. - bought at Woolworths
I wore dangly pearl earings and a pearl & crystal headpiece that I bought at Lovisa, along with a gold pearl necklace I got from my sweet Grandma,I still wear it today.

We had a fun weekend wedding at De Uijlenes (we got married in the forest and old barn venue). The guests arrived on Friday evening (accommodation was on the venue) , we then had a relaxed braai at the venue before the wedding on Saturday. The Sunday morning De Uijlenes made us a lovely farm style buffet breakfast before everyone departed.

I made sure to go to the gym regularly to look my best on the wedding day.
We had a forest wedding seremony, and I decides that my decor for the venue should fit in with that. We had lots of greenery,flowers and naked bulbs suspended from the ceiling, with a runner made from leaves on the table. On the table we also had rose gold candles and rose gold underplates.
My primary colours were Rose gold, white, cream and dark green
We had a massive amount of fairy lights and a huge fairylight curtain along the dancefloor wall. We also had flower hoops situated all over the venue (the flower hoops were made by my creative mother).
We had a very good Dj - he carried on playing until about 2 o'clock in the morning. (he also did all the dancefloor lighting and smoke machines)
The food and pre drinks /snacks were supplied by the amazing team at De Uijlenes.
For our Main course we had slow cooked pulled pork cooked in ginger beer, sweet potato phyllo pastries, glazed mini carrots, fanned potatoes filled with chees and bacon, sautéed green beens and salads.
We had a desert table with fudge, brownies, mini milk tarts, mini koeksisters, caramel popcorn, m&m sweets and the wedding cake - a carrot cake covered in a thin layer of cream cheese icing with fresh figs and a pecan nut syrup on top.

We had beautiful long, floral dresses with a white undertone made for them (by a local seamstress) , it went perfectly with the forest theme.
