Many people say they are nervous!!
In our wedding car on the moment that we had to julp start , due to the 91 year old Chev that had a clutch break down the previous day (bridal murphy), my dad asked me ; " How do you feel?? Are you nervous??" My response was; " No daddy!! I am excited!! I am ready". My dad ; "That is good." With a hudge smile on his face. I could not obtain myself in the ile... I basically almost ran to my groom. No one mattered at that point in time, no song or guests "awe" ... I just had to be with the man that I love. The only one that understands my soul. The moment I reached him... hand in hand... my soul found peace. The energy in the ceremony made me fist pump every oppertynity of a "yes" or " I do" .... I even spoke out of turn a couple of times... but I knew he understood everymoment of my excitement. My husband is my one true friend , in better and in worse. We are lovers , we are friends, we are the best part of each other. In times that may look glim... the morning smile with a cup of coffee. The goodnight kiss at night after a hard days work. The support when life hands you lemons and you make lemonade. He is the one I never have to explain myself to. People may not understand but we do. And that is all that matters. And that was what my excitement was all about.
We went local. We have family with a beach house in Amamzimtoti. They blessed us with their vacation home for a whole week. We had time to relax and has time for ourselves. No need to drive to far. We where on the beach front every morning. Enjoying a cup of coffee as the sun came up. That is all we ever wanted. Everyday gave us a new bright picture of our Heavenly Father working at mother nature. Bliss.
Well we are quite plain. We went for a rustic VS vintage look with a dash if Beaty and the Beard to spice it up and personalize it. We had our wedding at Stable View Wedding Venue which gave us the rustic feeling. They venue was made out of an old stall with an open chapel beteen the Magaliesburg mountains... the long grass, soft breeze, nature all around. The decor we mostly made ourselves to create the vintage feeling. We used old lamps, photo frames, wood and greenery to add to it. We brought in blue leaves to break the green with gyp and succulents. We used wood table runners we made ourselves to bring it all toghether. We added blue pearls and peacock feathers to make it fancy and wedding like. The dress was made by Mystic Bridal Services it was a plain coursette like top with a flowy bottom with pearls and beading to add to the beauty. The suit was a cammel colour with navy bule top to compliment the beastly beard. The hair was inspired by Lengths of love extensions to create a princess like curley locks done By Mirrors in Randfontein. Hair and make up was also done by them to create a princess like effect. Most of the decors we made ourselves and Stable View put every idea into motion with the set up. Main theme was Beaty and the Beard.
We got married at Stable View Wedding Venue in Hekpoort Magalies. Most guests slept over at the venue and then at Rustig about 5km from the venue.
Most of my beauty took place at Mirros in Randfontein. From lashes to make up to extensions to colour to nails to you name it they did it. Best service we had in years. My tan cane from The tanning studio in Witbank ran by Aneli Botes. She is a jack of all trades.
Our flowers was done by Wedding Decor Designs in Krugersdorp. They supplied us with the gyp, succulents and navy blue leaves. The rest we made ourselves. And the chairs was hired by Stable View Wedding Venue. We suppliea the decor and they set up everyring to our wishes.

We did our own stationary. We used Wix.com for our wedding invites.
We had a friend work out our dance routine for the wedding. Ezel van der Walt. We booked the DJ through our Venue it just made life easier to use a local DJ.
