We went to the heart of the Free State, the beautiful Clarens and stayed in the amazing Il Castello boutique Hotel. Thereafter we went to Lesotho and stayed at Maliba Mountain Lodge. It was absolutely breathtaking.
I tried to go for an effortless and timeless look with hair and makeup and I had the best team that took care of that. Mirra Bella hair and beauty salon took care of our hair and the talented Simoné Niebuhr did my makeup.
I got my dress and the bridesmaid dresses from Bridal Emporium in Bloemfontein. I wore the Nicole Spose NIAB18006 wedding gown. I was absolutely in love with my dress. Karlien at Bridal Emporium provided the best service that I could only dream about, she knew exactly what I wanted and what was the best fit for my body.
When it came to my shoes, I wanted a statement shoe that's not what every bride would wear, and that is why I chose my burgundy satin shoes that I got from Bride and Co. I loved it!
We got married in my home town, Bloemfontein, at the beautiful Warm Karoo wedding venue. We had the ceremony and the reception at the venue.
I didn't do anything completely out of the ordinary. I exercised a few times a week and I was very health conscious about what foods I ate. I cut out some carbs and drank a lot of water.
I had a few natural Regima facial peels just to give me a smooth, even skin tone. I also used AP24 whitening toothpaste and I found that it really helped to get rid of the type of stains that's caused by coffee and wine.
My mom spoiled me with a spa day at my favourite beauty salon, Mirra Bella, a few weeks before the wedding and the day before the wedding I got spoilt rotten by the amazing therapists at the salon with a variety of treatments.
My groom, Ernest, got his suit and accessories from Woolworths and I bought his tie clip online from That Bloke. They got groomed at the Chop Shop in Bloemfontein on the day of the wedding.
My pretty bridesmaids wore dresses that Bridal Emporium custom made for each of them. We struggled at first to get the perfect floral print for the tops to fit with the emerald skirt, but eventually Karlien found the perfect material and it looked perfect.

We used Go Urban photography and film as our photographers as well as our videographers. They did such an amazing job and I would reccommend them to anybody.
We also had a photobooth for guests to take an unlimited amount of photos to capture the memories of our special day. We made use of Rozelle photography (Bloemfontein Photobooth).
Warm Karoo made the amazing food for the wedding. We had a feast table with a variety of snacks for canapés and a buffet menu for the mains. It was absolutely unbelievable.
A family member made our beautiful wedding cake and it was to die for. It was a custard naked cake with fresh berries and flowers on top.
Hanri from Something Gold designed our beautiful logo, welcome sign, table placings and our programs. She was absolutely amazing in everything she designed.
Divine studio did the laser cutting for our table numbers that we hung from the ceiling as well as our cake topper.
